Today, we got some of the residents together in the Atrium, for some Arts & Crafts 🖌✨️😁

They had a go at making their own Hanging Bird Houses 🐦🪶🏠 They were for National Grandparents Day (the parcel was a tad delayed)

Our lovely residents, really enjoyed using their artistic skills and they made some beautiful designs 🥰❤️

It was an amazing afternoon and it's always nice to see them in their element and doing something they enjoy 😁🎨🖌

She brought some halloween themed Pumpkins 🎃🖌🎨

Everyone really enjoyed painting their own little Pumpkin, for their bedrooms 🥰😁 There were some wonderful designs and I was very pleased with their finished products 🎃✨️

This afternoon, some of the ladies joined us for a drink in the garden pub aka The Bourn View Arms 🤗🍻🥂

We played a little music and they indulged in a little tipple or lemonade, whilst enjoying the nice weather we had today 🌤🍂🥰

Some of the ladies got up for a dance too and everyone had a good laugh together 🤗🥂✨️ It was a lovely time and we were glad to make use of the pub, before the colder days arrive 😅 Not that a little brandy doesn't hurt, to keep the germs away during winter 😉😂

They all painted their own Forget Me Nots 🌸✨️🩵 Everyone really enjoyed getting creative and having a go at painting 🖌✨️

This afternoon, the residents met up in the bistro 🤗 For our weekly pub quiz 💭🧐❔️

Everyone enjoyed the range of questions 😅 We done general nowledge and some easy maths questions ⁉️

Some of the ladies indulged in a glass of white wine, as we went through the quizzes 🥂✨️

We definitely had to put our thinking caps on, but our residents still done really well with their answers 👏🏻🤗

💙Alice Court Take Fundraising to New Heights for International Animal Rescue 💙

In celebration of World Animal Day, General Manager, Michelle Love-Patel, from Alice Court Care Home - Avery Collection, is preparing for the ultimate challenge - abseiling off the stunning Peacehaven Cliffs.

Michelle is taking on this daring feat to raise money and awareness for International Animal Rescue, a charity dedicated to protecting animals in need across the globe. 🐒

“This is such an important cause,” said Michelle. “I’m thrilled to be able to take part in something that not only pushes me out of my comfort zone but also supports vulnerable animals who desperately need our help.”

🎉 Grand Opening at Springwood Corner Care Home! 🎉

Springwood Corner Care Home - Avery Collection, a brand-new 62-bed care home in Gravesend, celebrated its grand opening on Thursday 11th September 2025 with a fun 1940s-themed event 🕺💃.

Over 200 guests, including Avery Healthcare executives, local residents, and community leaders, joined the celebration, featuring a plaque unveiling by Mayor Jenny Wallis, a red-carpet welcome, canapés, prosecco, live entertainment, and even a stilt walker! ✨

Launching in June 2017, Bourn View is the most recent addition to Avery Healthcare’s portfolio of award winning, luxury residential care homes.
