How many more reports will it take for the government to wake up and take urgent action?

How many more mamas and babies lives lost and serious harm caused?

For those of us working in and using maternity services, the findings are not surprising.

The system is letting down families and, in the work that I do, I see how it lets down Black mamas and their families.

🚫 dangerously poor care
🚫 concerns dismissed
🚫birthing options limited based on race
And so on …….

We need solutions that are as big as the problems.

Yes, increasing staffing levels would help but what’s the use of more staff if they’re being inducted into a culture of bullying, blame, low staff morale and systemic racism???

We need nothing short of a revolution in maternity care.
