🐮🐥 A Day to Remember at Ash End House Farm! 🐷🐰

Recently, residents from Willowbrook enjoyed a wonderful visit to Ash End House Farm and what a fantastic day it was! From meeting the animals up close to feeding lambs, goats and chickens, there were smiles all around. 🐑🥕💛

Days like this aren’t just fun, they’re incredibly beneficial too. Interacting with animals can bring back fond memories, spark conversation and promote wellbeing through fresh air, gentle exercise and lots of laughter. 🌤️🐾

🌿 A Peaceful Park Visit 🌿

Recently at Willowbrook, the residents enjoyed a lovely stroll in the local park, one of our favourite spots to visit. It’s always a joy to watch the swans gracefully glide across the water and we were delighted to spot some adorable cygnets too! 🦢

Moments like these offer a gentle change of scenery, fresh air and the simple pleasure of connecting with nature, something we truly value here at Willowbrook.

At Willowbrook, our craft sessions are more than just a fun activity, they’re a wonderful way for residents to express themselves, spark creativity, and enjoy some relaxing time together.

Whether it's painting, card-making or seasonal decorations, these sessions offer therapeutic benefits, improve fine motor skills and bring a great sense of accomplishment. Most importantly, they create moments of connection, laughter and pride in what’s been made.

💙 Celebrating Father’s Day at Willowbrook 💙

Recently at Willowbrook, we held a special Father’s Day celebration to honour all the wonderful father figures in our home. 🎉

Residents, family, and friends came together for a heartwarming afternoon filled with laughter, music, and good company. The home was decorated with care, and everyone enjoyed delicious refreshments and joyful moments together. 💐🍰

It was a lovely way to show appreciation and create lasting memories with those we hold dear.

The residents recently enjoyed a lovely trip out to Wetherspoons at One Stop. It was
a wonderful opportunity to relax, chat, and enjoy a delicious meal together 🍽️😊

Back at home, we’ve also been making the most of the beautiful weather in our garden. It’s always a joy to see everyone soaking up the sunshine, surrounded by flowers and friendly faces 🌸☀️

🍳 Life skills in action at Willowbrook!

Recently, one of the residents enjoyed cooking himself a delicious egg on toast with a little help from our team. Justin takes great pride in preparing his own lunch and lending a hand around the home.

At Willowbrook, we support residents who want to build on their independence and develop everyday life skills, boosting confidence and bringing a real sense of achievement.

🍪 Fresh from the Oven at Willowbrook! 🍪

There’s nothing quite like the smell of freshly baked shortbread wafting through the home and that’s exactly what we’ve been enjoying here at Willowbrook!

The residents recently spent a lovely afternoon baking delicious shortbread biscuits, getting hands-on with the mixing, shaping, and of course, the all-important taste testing! 👩‍🍳🧑‍🍳

Baking sessions like these are always popular, as they spark conversation, bring back fond memories, and offer a wonderful sense of achievement (not to mention the tasty results!).

🌿 Green Fingers at Willowbrook! 🌻

Every Wednesday, our wonderful gardening group gathers in the Willowbrook gardens for a dose of fresh air, fun, and friendly competition. Each resident taking part has their own hanging basket and has also planted a sunflower — we’re all excited to see whose grows the tallest!

Spending time in the garden brings a real sense of purpose, calm, and connection, and it’s a highlight of the week for many. We love seeing the residents enjoy nature, nurture their plants, and share plenty of smiles along the way! 💚

One of the simple joys of summer at Willowbrook is the regular visits from the ice cream van! A few times a week, our residents get to enjoy a delicious ice cream of their choice, right on their doorstep.

It’s a lovely way to cool down, bring smiles all around, and add a little extra sweetness to the day. From classic cones to colourful lollies—there’s something for everyone to enjoy! 💛
