6 months after extended lipoadominoplasty using the Lock & Glue technique.

This patient presented with abdominal laxity and muscle separation, which can occur following pregnancy or weight changes.

Surgical details:
• Liposuction: 1800ml
• Muscle repair (diastasis): 5cm
• Skin & fat removed: 1437g

By combining targeted liposuction, abdominal muscle repair and skin excision, this procedure restores a flatter abdominal contour while improving overall shape and definition.

At Kat & Co we perform this procedure using our Lock & Glue technique, which uses internal suturing and tissue glue to support healing and eliminate the need for surgical drains.

At 6 months post-op, the results continue to refine as swelling settles and scars mature over time.

Following massive weight loss, the patient was left with significant skin laxity of the inner arms and outer chest, necessitating an extended brachiaplasty approach.

This transformation combined liposuction (250 cc per arm) and extended skin excision for improved contour and tone.
Tissue removed: R 102 g | L 110 g

Scars continue to mature, with shape and definition improving over time.

An extended brachioplasty is often recommended after major weight loss when the skin has stretched and cannot retract on its own. The procedure removes excess skin and fat from the upper arms to restore a smoother, more defined contour.

Inside a complex Fleur de Lis tummy tuck performed by .mariachasapi

This patient was not suitable for a standard abdominoplasty.

Following massive weight loss and significant vertical + horizontal skin excess, a Fleur de Lis technique was required — named after the distinctive lily-shaped incision pattern.

Here’s what that involved:

• Horizontal excision to remove lower abdominal excess
• Vertical excision to tighten the waist and address central skin redundancy
• Targeted liposuction (700ml removed) to improve contour and reduce tension
• Careful dissection around previous surgical scars and abdominal mesh
• Repair of a 5cm muscle separation (diastasis repair)
• Oblique sutures to correct additional abdominal wall laxity
• Internal locking stitches + tissue glue to eliminate dead space and avoid drains
• Creation of a new belly button for natural positioning

With multiple prior abdominal surgeries, this was a technical case requiring CT planning, meticulous scar tissue management and careful anatomical preservation.

In this case our patient had lost 7 stone following gastric sleeve surgery and weight loss treatment.

After four C-sections, a hysterectomy, three hernia repairs and abdominal mesh placement, this was a complex surgical case requiring careful planning.

When massive weight loss leaves excess skin both vertically and horizontally, a standard tummy tuck isn’t always enough.
mariachasapi performed a Fleur de Lis abdominoplasty — a specialised technique designed to remove both vertical and horizontal skin excess, restoring contour where traditional techniques may not be sufficient.
