For the Funeral Service of Giovanni Esposito ‘Nono’ his family wanted to reflect his love of gardening and in particular, growing vegetables! The tribute created for his coffin captured this; incorporating flowers he'd tended in his garden and vegetables he was well known for growing in years gone by.

At the point of Committal, it was requested by Nono's family that the vegetables from the arrangement be cast into his grave rather than committal soil. Neil our Funeral Director assisted those gathered at the graveside to fulfil the families wishes🥒 🥔 🇮🇹

At a recent Funeral for the late Christopher Leek, his next of kin arranged a surprise for those attending! Those that knew him, would know that he once owned a Morris Minor and he was such an enthusiast, he even had a photo of his beloved car on display on the wall! So, when we were offered Trudy, our very own Moggy Hearse, it was the perfect choice to convey him on his final journey.
Pictured by the flower terrace at Lodge Hill Crematorium, Adrian our Funeral Director and team wore AVFC ties in honour of Christopher's love of the Villa.

Thank you to Barlows Blooms Florist Birmingham for creating this spectacular floral tribute for the Funeral of the late Judith Davies, in tribute to her life long love of giraffes!

The giraffe theme was reflected by a designer in the creation of a bespoke Order of Service incorporating freesias, as these were her favourite flowers! The family were so pleased with the design, that they asked if it could be used to create a personalised scatter tube for Judith's ashes, which we were pleased to be able to accommodate 🦒

Although our offices are based in Birmingham and Worcestershire, we are able to facilitate the Funeral Service taking place much further afield if required. Neil, one of our Funeral Directors is pictured here with our vehicles outside Enfield Crematorium in London, where he and some of our team travelled to fulfill the wishes of a family last week that requested this Chapel as the Funeral venue 🗺️

Thank you to Victorian Carriages for providing their beautiful white horses Sole and Milo who had been made to look like unicorns for the funeral of a young girl recently, pictured with Funeral Director, Steve 🦄🩷

The personalised floral tributes were eye catching at the recent Service for Betty Gee, proudly displaying her nickname “Gangsta Gran!”

The family designed an Order of Service which included many pictures of the generations of her family members including her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, who following the Service took part in a dove release in her honour. 🕊️

For the Funeral Service of David Delaney it was important to his family to reflect his love of Aston Villa Football Club. Thank you to Mews Carriages who provided claret and blue plumes for the horses which matched beautifully with the ties of our bearers and Mike our Funeral Director. The football ground that meant so much was pride of place on the front of David's Order of Service for those in attendance to take home as as a keepsake -

Neil recently directed the Funeral Service for retired Police Constable John Smallwood.

After serving for many years as a PC, the police flag was lowered at the passing Hearse as a mark of respect, used to honour the passing of retired Police Officers.

The National Association of Retired Police Officer’s drape was placed over John's coffin and his Service medals and police whistle were proudly displayed in the Hearse for his final journey. His helmet was turned on his coffin so that the badge could be seen by those following the bearers into the Service, in recognition of his many years of Service.

After purchasing a Jaguar XJ Saloon recently, we are pleased that families are appreciative of this as an alternative option.

Recently, the Saloon travelled as the following vehicle to a Funeral Service at Hills Crematorium which met the needs of the family who wanted the comfort and peace of mind of being chauffeured to and from the Service but didn’t require the number of seats a traditional limousine has to offer.
