We are sincerely touched by everyone who voted for us and are extremely proud and humbled to have won Family Owned Business of the Year. Well done to Sophie Marie Bennett Msc on organising an outstanding event. We would like to make the public aware this was not a funeral conducted by Goodridge-Milford Funeral Directors. We are unable to comment as we do not know any one involved in these funeral arrangements.

Our thoughts are with the families who have been distressed by this circulating video.

Good Afternoon to all of our families within Birmingham, the Midlands and further afield. To everyone who has shown their support with emails, text messages, prayers and other forms of well wishes, we at GMFD are truly grateful.

It is with great pleasure we are able to announce that following a successful meeting with Paul Lankester and Birmingham City Council, GMFD once again are able to conduct funeral services in Birmingham whilst implementing additional policies and procedures for the benefit of our community.

Moving forward we are asking for the continued support of the community as we adhere to the government guidelines. This may include minimizing the number of mourners at the family home in anticipation of the funeral cortège, families and mourners respectfully not congregating outside the cemeteries or crematoriums during and immediately after the service, mourners also adhering to the rules and regulations set out by each individual local authority.

With your assistance we can help to reduce the spread of COVID-19 by minimising the risk and keeping families, mourners and staff safe whilst still participating in the home-going services for loved ones.

We are so proud to be a part of this community and once again are truly thankful.

Good afternoon, the family at Goodridge-Milford Funeral Directors have been overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and support that has been shown by the community. We would like to take the opportunity to reassure the community that we are still open for business and will continue to conduct services as usual.

Good Morning,
Goodridge-Milford Funeral Directors would again like to thank everyone for their continued support. We have received many calls, text messages and emails and would like to thank not only our local community, but also well wishers in the West Midlands and further afield.

This is an update as there seems to be a little confusion and we want to be as transparent as possible with everyone. This is a Temporary Suspension, we are not closing down. We are continuing to liaise with Birmingham City Council to come to a speedy resolution, so that we can continue to support the community and conduct loved ones home-going services in the safest way possible.

COVID 19 Update:

It is with sadness, that we have had to now take further measures in response to the increasing Coronavirus. We are now operating on an appointment only basis. Further to this, we are only permitting two people at a time to enter our premises. This is to ensure we are adhering to the social distancing policies set out by the government.

We can assure you we, at Goodridge-Milford, will continue to support you all during these unprecedented times. Our phone lines are available 24/7 for any of your queries.
