Crossing that finish line is a huge accomplishment—well done! 👏 But recovery is just as important as the run itself. Here’s how to support your body in the days that follow:

✅Keep Moving—Gently:
Immediately after the race, don't completely stop, keep gently moving to help with circulation and reduce stiffness.
✅Rehydrate & Refuel:
Restore fluids and replenish your energy stores, peanut butter and banana sandwiches are great due to the carbs and protein!
✅Consider an ice bath:
When you get home, consider an ice bath or a cold shower, this can help decrease inflammation and ease any pain.
✅Prioritise Rest:
Quality sleep and downtime is essential to allow your muscles and joints to repair and rebuild.

We're excited to introduce Thea Inson, our new Junior Physiotherapist!

Thea graduated from Teeside University and has experience in Sports Massage, MSK Physiotherapy, Acute Major trauma and Community Physiotherapy, and Orthopaedics. She's also no stranger to the world of sports!

"Outside of work, I have been active in sports, serving as a Badminton Sport Activator and Women’s Team Leader, and I continues to compete in the Women’s League, playing Mixed and Women’s Doubles."
