🌸 A Wonderful Mother’s Day Weekend at Abbey Rose 🌸

Mother’s Day at Abbey Rose Care Home has been filled with love, laughter and very special moments for our residents.

Today we celebrated with a beautiful Residents and Families Mother’s Day Party, where our ladies were surrounded by their loved ones, enjoying delicious treats, music and precious time together. Seeing residents spending quality moments with their families, sharing stories and smiles, truly made the day unforgettable.

Earlier in the week we also hosted a lovely Mother’s Day Community Afternoon, giving our residents another opportunity to celebrate with visitors from the local area while enjoying tea, cake and great company.

Mother’s Day is such a meaningful time to honour the incredible mothers, grandmothers and mother figures who have given so much love throughout their lives. It was wonderful to celebrate these amazing women and make them feel as special as they deserve.

Thank you to all the families who joined us and helped make the weekend so memorable for our residents. 💐

Our residents enjoyed a lovely afternoon of flower arranging, getting creative with beautiful blooms and colourful displays. 🌷💐

There’s something so special about working with flowers — the wonderful scents, vibrant colours, and the chance to chat, laugh, and share memories together. Everyone did a fantastic job and created some truly gorgeous arrangements to brighten up the home!

Activities like this are not only relaxing but also great for encouraging creativity and social time with friends.

💪 Keep Fit Fun at Abbey Rose! 💪

Over the weekend, residents at Abbey Rose enjoyed a fantastic Keep Fit session, getting everyone moving, stretching, and smiling. The class was full of energy, laughter, and great participation from residents who were keen to stay active and have some fun together.

Exercise sessions like these are a wonderful way to promote mobility, wellbeing, and social connection — and it was clear that everyone had a brilliant time taking part.

There were plenty of smiles around the room, and the positive atmosphere made it a session to remember!

Today our residents enjoyed a relaxing Arts & Crafts session filled with colour, creativity and plenty of smiles. From painting to crafting, everyone had the chance to express themselves and spend time together in a calm and enjoyable activity.

We’re excited to invite families in our community to join us for a fun-filled Kids’ Easter Tea Party at Abbey Rose Care Home on Saturday 4th April from 12:30pm – 2:30pm.

🌿 A Lovely Walk to the Lake 🌿

Today our residents at Abbey Rose Care Home enjoyed a beautiful walk to the local lake, making the most of the fresh air and lovely surroundings. There’s nothing quite like getting outdoors, enjoying nature, and sharing special moments together. 💚

The sunshine, gentle breeze, and peaceful views made it the perfect outing. Residents loved chatting, taking in the scenery, and watching the ducks on the water. Walks like these are a wonderful way to stay active, boost wellbeing, and enjoy time together outside the home.

A big thank you to our wonderful team for supporting everyone and making the trip so enjoyable. Days like today remind us how important simple pleasures are – fresh air, nature, and great company. ☀️🦆

Thanks again to our incredible residents, families, staff and local community who helped us collect over 500 toys for the children’s cancer wards at Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Good Hope Hospital Children’s Ward!

We’re so proud of what our Abbey Rose and Sutton Rose communities achieved together.
