We can’t believe it has already been 2 weeks since The Salts Collective – Summer Edition! Some highlights included the factory tour and the interest in all our hands-on workshops, such as the create your own adhesive session.

Across the 2 days, it was so inspiring to see our community come together once again, it really reinforced the importance of a strong and supportive ostomy community. Thank you to everyone who made it such a special event and for sharing your stories with us.

At the age of 15, Sophie suffered rapid weight loss, constant diarrhoea and an urgent need to be near a toilet; all of which suddenly become her new ‘normal’. What she didn’t know then was that she was facing the early stages of a lifelong struggle with ulcerative colitis.

Do you have a colostomy? Do you regularly experience ballooning, pancaking, odour or leakage through the filter?

If yes, you may qualify for the CSSI clinical study to assess different colostomy bag filter systems!

📃 Eligibility Criteria:

-Over 18 years old
-Have a loop or end colostomy for at least 6 months
-Experience filter-related complication such as ballooning, pancaking, odour or leakage through the filter in a 7 day period
-Use a closed, 1 piece flat colostomy bag

🔬 Study Information:

-30th April – 28th November 2025
-3 week (21 day) study
-Assess different colostomy bag filter systems
-Complete a short questionnaire after each colostomy bag change
