When doing leg raises I try to keep it slow so I don’t use momentum too much and really focus on using my abs. Also I like to exhale fully before each rep which I find engages the muscle much more

This was a brand new exercise for me. Never done a rack pull before I always deadlift from the floor. I found that even though it was heavy and difficult to lift, I was able to keep my back dead straight and my technique strong with my shoulders back and down. As a result of this my upper back is still hurting now 2 days later, but I feel like doing these more will improve my deadlift so I’m definitely going to add these to my routine

Something different as a finisher tonight. 50kg dumbell farmers walks. These help with grip strength and also attack the core. I also tend to feel my traps burn but tonight they didn’t feel it😢

Just a quick video again about why I became a personal trainer. I have always been into sports or gym on some level from a very young age, but as an adult it has saved me and helped turn my life around. If I can help just one other person to do the same then my mission is worth it. I will continue to help as many people as I can on whatever level I can for as long as I can

Video was taken about a week ago and forgot to post it. Last night I trained chest alone so nobody to video but on incline dumbell press I did a pyramid up to my 2rep max then a dropset down the rack until I reached the 10kgs for 30 reps, a total of 16 sets, and today I hurt..... but I love it😉

After 5 days off the gym due to lack of time (poor excuse I know) last night was squats and lunges, tonight was deadlifts. That’s the legs battered for a few days. This was my final set on 120kg and my grip was failing before anything else but felt amazing to be deadlifting again anyway. Feel much better now💪🏻

Tonight’s dinner; fry up. Is this healthy? Not the best. Is this optimal for losing weight? Probably not. Does it matter? Does it f**k!! Remember these things folks:
1) You have to eat what you like or you won’t sustain the diet
2) Calories in vs calories used is what matters most for gaining/losing weight and burning fat
3) Your body will level itself off using an average so if you eat more than you should one day simply eat less the next day or the day after.
4) You are allowed a day off you know!

There are many other things that matter but I hope you get my point. Don’t beat yourself up when you aren’t perfect, nobody is!!

Another of my favourite supersets is pull ups and standing shoulder press. Training opposing muscles to flood the area with blood and pump it up. I love the way my back looks here
