✨ This summer we were proud to pilot our Holiday Activities & Food (HAF) delivery for Walsall Council.

It was brilliant to start a local programme for families in Walsall, creating fun, safe and inclusive sessions where young people could try new Paralympic-style sports such as archery, boccia, volleyball and curling.

What made this special was:
✅ A calm and supportive environment
✅ Small group delivery with staff trained in SEND coaching
✅ A focus on confidence, movement and fun – not pressure or judgement
✅ Activities designed to be adapted for every child

We’re really pleased with how the summer went and look forward to building on this partnership to give more families across Walsall the chance to get active together.

☀️ This summer we’ve had the chance to deliver a number of our inclusive coaching workshops across schools, clubs, and community settings.

Some of the key themes we explored with coaches and teachers included:

🔑 Coach the person, not the disability

Every individual moves differently — even two people with the same condition will show completely different patterns. A person-centred approach always comes first.

🔑 Flexible coaching beats ‘disability-specific’ coaching

Most coaches are confident at teaching skills and progression, but less so when it comes to adapting activities. By focusing on adaptation principles, we can create environments that are more flexible and welcoming for everyone.

🔑 Scaffold learning to create equity

Simple adaptations can help level the playing field, making sessions accessible while keeping challenge and progression alive.

💡 Our goal is always the same: to help coaches, teachers, and clubs unlock movement for everyone.

This is the impact of ParalympicsGB we need to show more!

Our good friend Ali Jawad PLY from AccesserCise came down to one of our sessions last week — and it meant the world to the group.

Getting to play sport and games alongside a Paralympic medallist, inspiring people in the community that they can be empowered to do amazing things.

This is what it’s about:
✅ Real connections
✅ Confidence through movement
✅ Community built through sport

Thanks again Ali — proper inspiration and a wholesome moment!

Exercise that feels like fun not prescription!

Bringing exercise as a form of medicine into health practices.

This month, we had the privilege of showcasing our inclusive, game-based movement sessions to NHS England practitioners across NHS Birmingham and Solihull

Led by our Chief Delivery Officer, Alex Dowson, the sessions brought gamification into the heart of healthcare – offering staff a lens on how adapted exercise can support service users with SEND.

✅ Preventative health
✅ Actually developing physical qualities.
✅ Inclusive participation
✅ And crucially – FUN in movement

We delivered practical workshops that gave frontline professionals tools and ideas to apply straight away to their service users–

Our unique philosophy
🧠 Behind every game is a coaching method.
💬 Behind every laugh is a learning and development moment.

Thank you to the NHS staff that took part - We’re proud at Move Mojo® to support the sector with fresh, engaging approaches to exercise that meet people where they are.

5 X Easy ways we made archery more inclusive at the Disability Sport Yorkshire weekend

1️⃣ Seated Shooting – Chairs with backrests and side-on benches.
👉 Gives each person the right base level of stability to succeed.

2️⃣ Target Variety – Different distances, heights, and even flat targets.
👉 Defining the level of challenge is key to engagement

3️⃣ Banded Release – Resistance bands help with the release of the bow.
👉 Aids the finer motor coordination within the release phase.

4️⃣ Bean Bags Instead of Bows
👉 Same aiming games, no barriers — perfect for sensory or motor control.

5️⃣ Different Arrow Sizes – Three types to suit all draw strengths.
👉 Adapts the level of strength and force needed to shoot the arrow.

💬 Inclusion doesn’t need specialist kit — just a bit of creativity.

We didn’t create Move Mojo to tick boxes.

At Move Mojo, we’re building something different — a community where:

1️⃣ Movement is fun and engaging
2️⃣ Coaching means care, not commands
3️⃣ Nobody is left behind because of a label

This video captures the culture we’ve been building — one that’s not just inclusive on paper, but in practice.

Our sessions don’t start with limits. They start with what people can do, and grow from there. We don’t confine — we empower.

By meeting people where they are, we deliver meaningful and developmentally appropriate physical activity that improves health outcomes across our communities.

Thanks to every coach, family, local authority, and partner walking this journey with us. Let’s keep building empowered lives — not more boxes.
