Aromatherapy Massage is one my favourites and love giving a treatment 💕

The oils have powerful properties especially for stressed and hormonal ladies! It’s been a while!…. I’ve been in hibernation for a few months now. The winter is a time to slow down, retreat, reflect and REST. By the way we are still in winter!

I’ve been listening to my body and have rested. I find the winter months difficult when working. The cold evening car journeys, adjusting to different environments, constant lifting and moving my stuff. It’s affected my energy the last few months because we’re meant to be in hibernation still! In addition to my other job which is both physically and mentally demanding at times. It’s hard to adjust this time of year …. Almost like my body and brain aren’t up to speed! Which is probably the truth 😊

However … as the nights get lighter and we get more sunlight, we have more energy, I’ve just had to adjust to the season. This means less evening appts, more gaps between clients for rest and prioritising self care and sleep!

I’ll be back at full capacity soon and hope to see you for some soothing treatments.

…. About last weekend! 😇 🪽 👼💕

I spent 3 days getting attuned to this beautiful healing tool… in which I am now an Angelic Reiki Practitioner 😍

I’ll update more about how it works and the benefits in a future post, but for now I’m getting used to connecting with the Angels!

They have stepped in a few times this week to help me out when I’ve asked!!…(it’s been such a stressful, emotional, hectic and physically demanding week) and they’ve amazed me at times 😃

I know this may be a bit too ‘woo woo’ for some of you I get it 😂

But it’s something I’ve always wanted to do as I work with peoples energy so closely, and without realising it’s effects on me. I kept having little nudges and signs and the time felt right so I took the leap!

I’m using it for myself at the moment, but would love to introduce it to those who are open to this beautiful energy 💖

Today is International Menopause Day!!

Here’s some ways having regular Reflexology can help during this transition.

I’ve done an additional Reflexology course in supporting women during the peri/Menopause.

There’s lots of things you can do to help you feel better these range from HRT to supplements, to nutrition advice. I’ll pop a post on about what kind of things you can use to help and ease symptoms.

*Menopausal ladies* this one is for you!!…have a listen when you get time, to this amazing podcast! I did my training with Sally and specialise in Reflexology for the Menopause and women’s health. She mentions the AOR but another association is the FHT ( Federation Holistic Therapies) which I am part of as I offer other therapies not just Reflexology.

She talks about the research and evidence that exists surrounding the Menopause and Reflexology, also the wonderful benefits 😊

So I’ve not posted in a while!… mainly from being busy and not needing to post random stuff for the sake of it!

Now for the busy bit…. Great I hear you say. But it came as a reminder that the more work/pressure I put on myself the more I needed to practice self care! Almost like a sliding scale, more stress, more rest. I’ve pushed my body and brain quite a bit the past month or so doing more than one job. Whilst it’s been amazing and I love it, I slipped off the self care waggon slightly 😬

Late nights, rubbish sleep, physically exhausting days, lack of social interaction, missing my massage appts, zero walks in nature! and just generally not carving out me time to switch off. So when you do this for a sustained amount of time …. Your body will have a word!

So after being poorly with the flu and feeling totally drained, I know that it’s not a great place to be in or to stay in! We are not meant to be doing this!! It doesn’t feel good either 😥

This brings me want to talk about ‘Burnout’ whilst I’m not experiencing it, I’ve had a small taste! And I also know plenty of you who are on this road.

‘Burnout is a state of physical and emotional exhaustion’

I want you to listen to your body and carve some time to switch off and relax. You need to re charge! This could be a weekend away, spa day, massage and lunch with a friend, having a cut off for social media consumption or a walk taking in beautiful surroundings! Or even better ALL of the above …. Regularly 🥰

It’s so important to care for ourselves both physically and mentally, and to do things you enjoy. And when you’ve pushed your body too much, treat her, she needs and deserves it 💕

Following my body telling me to put the brakes on, I’ve managed a wonderful spa weekend, lunch with friends, a walk in the sunshine, put a few boundaries in place, and spent more time resting. I’ve also re booked my missed appts that I soooo need.

If you ask your body today what does she need?…… what does she say? 🥰

So I haven’t posted in a while! So here I am old camera shy me😂 Im still here doing what I love, and helping people navigate and de stress on their journey!

I’ve also been busy in a new role and another huge love of mine … Dance 💕

I have been working as an Assistant Dance Artist on a wonderful project which uses dance as a way to help prevent falls in older people and also addresses isolation and social contact, but in a fun way! I am so passionate about using the arts to help social issues 💕

It’s been amazing to move creatively again, who knew it could unlock so much stuff! (my background was in dance many years ago!) and help connect the community together 💕

I’m also dipping my toe in some performance opportunities which sound very exciting 🙌🏼

I am so grateful to have these two passions feature in my life, especially as I’m on my own healing journey and some days/weeks recently have been tough!

I am still available for appointments over the coming weeks, I’d love to see you and help you on your self care journey 🥰
