Birmingham’s refuse workers have been striking since January for fair pay – now they need our support.

Birmingham South DWP PCS proudly welcomed Mike Chambers, a striking bin worker and UNITE rep, to address their Branch Executive Committee.

Mike spoke about the safety risks of new refuse lorries and crucially, the threat of significant pay cuts for hundreds of bin workers.

The committee unanimously agreed to stand shoulder to shoulder with the striking bin workers.
