BIRTH ENVIRONMENT!

Research supports the fact that the environment you birth in can play a big role in your overall birth experience.

Every other mammal on the earth births in dark, private places where they feel safe and undisturbed. Whoever had the great idea to set up a space so clinical and bright for women to birth in?!

When planning for your birth, whether it be in hospital or at home.. think about things that will make you feel relaxed and comfortable to give birth. Talk to your midwife about your wishes and ask them to help you facilitate this 💜

Happy international home birth day!!! 🤍🤍🤍

After having serious fear of birth with my first which resulted in an elective caesarean I went the total other end of the scale for my second baby.

At home was where I felt most safe, relaxed and unobserved..

I experienced an empowering and positive, natural birth with no intervention 🤍

We had a beautiful golden hour of breastfeeding and skin to skin on my sofa 💛

Hi and welcome to my page 💜

I am a new pregnancy, birth and postpartum Doula, based in the West Midlands. I completed my doula training with Every Birth Matters - Doula, Hypnobirthing & Education- who is amazing! I’m a self confessed birth nerd that is totally in love with the whole process of birth. I love learning about our bodies beautiful design to grow and birth another human being, it’s just incredible. I’m excited about supporting women and their families to learn about childbirth, to feel confident and ready for birth and to be a helping hand in that precious postpartum period.
