MIDWIVES AND STUDENT MIDWIVES… if you are in doubt discuss with the parents and consider SBR. REMEMBER transcutaneous bilirubin (TcB) devices, which measure bilirubin levels through the skin using light, can give a false reading on darker skin.

Sharing again as there seems to be little change in the way black, brown and disadvantaged women are treated. It is not acceptable to be 3-4 more times likely to die JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT WHITE OR WEALTHY FOR THE DISADVANTAGED WOMEN. We need to challenge this at every level.
