I really enjoyed the tour of Birmingham Museum’s talk of death ritual form their earliest accounts in their collection. As part of the Brum YODO festival - Thank you! I walked away with a lot to think about when it comes to colonisation, archaeology and appropriation.

Birmingham has been hosting a death festival this fortnight. So far I’ve had a tour around ‘The Natural Undertakers in Kings Heath, visited and exhibition and learn’t about ancient death practices of Figi, Egypt and attended my first Death Cafe. This Saturday they have a Pop Up arts and craft event on death in the central library wellbeing area 12-4pm I recommend you check it out if you can & with to reflect on death to either heal or make be inspired to life more meaningfully & fully after the contemplation & reflection.
