This weekend Activities Coordinator, Tom accompanied a resident to their Nephews wedding💒

Tom and resident N.P enjoyed their two days out of the home celebrating a wonderful marriage! The family of N.P were kind enough for us to share some pictures from their wonderful day!❤️

🍼 Guess the baby 🍼

At Austin Rose we have created a fun, new game of guess the baby!

We have gathered some baby pictures of staff members and for just £1 a guess you can try and figure out which staff member it is🥳

If this is something you want to have a go at, all you have to do is write a staff members name underneath their picture followed by your name, those who guess correctly will have a chance to will a small prize!🏆

All monies from contributions to the game will go towards activities provided for our wonderful residents✨

We can’t wait to see your guesses!🙈

Calling all Stall Holders, we are holding our Community Summer Fair on Saturday 09th August from 11am - 15:00pm!🤩

We are looking for a few extra stall who wants to sell any of their beautiful items! We are also on the look out for some food trucks!🍔

Stalls are reserved via a donation of £10 which will go directly towards our activities held for our residents!

More Arts & Crafts done at Austin Rose this week which included painting our own pictures and also Pottery Painting 🥰

This keeps our fine motor skills moving ensuring we use all the little muscles still🖼️

The residents love these activities as they can use this to meet new people, have a laugh, catch up and also get creative👩🏻‍🎨

This week we spent our afternoon within the Sunny Lounge taking full advantage of the large bright spaces we have☀️

We did a Sip and Paint afternoon which involved painting on small canvases with snacks and some fruity drinks😍

Our residents fully enjoyed this activity, there was lots of laughters and smiles!🎨🖌️

Today, Customer Relations Executive(Mya) accompanied by activities coordinator, Tom went out into the community today to let the local public aware of our upcoming events of Cheese&Wine Meet The Manager and also our Summer Fete💛

They went into local shops, doctors surgeries, supermarkets and even the local chippy! We met with a local stall holder to discuss our Summer Fete ❤️ Shera’s Premier - West Heath

This week, our director's got a heart warming email from a resident's daughter.

Alan, who passed away recently was a huge part of Austin Rose. He got to enjoy all the amenities, the love from our staff, the food, and all the amazing entertainment in which we provide for just over 5 years!❤️

Alan's daughter, Barbara sent in an amazing review for the Director's and staff at Austin Rose to read. This touched the hearts of many and just shows that we do and provide at Austin Rose never goes unnoticed.🥰

Thank you so much for your kind words Barbara, Alan will be very missed by all!🙏

Yesterday at Austin Rose we said goodbye to a very loved resident, Sandra🌹

Sandra’s wonderful husband, Ray allowed all the staff at Austin Rose to celebrate the wonderful life she had within and out of Austin Rose.

Sandra will be very missed by all the staff, we will miss seeing your big beautiful smile🙏🏼❤️

🎶 Elvis in the building🎶

This week at Austin Rose we had Elvis in the building😁

Elvis gets our residents reminiscing and tapping along to his performance!

Music therapy is amazing for our residents, especially those with Dementia as songs helps us reminisce on some of our favourite memories❤️

We are looking forward to welcoming in a Creative arts song workshop into the home in the next few weeks🙏🏼

At Austin Rose we are hosting a Cheese & Wine 'Meet the Manager' evening 🧀

This gives our relatives and members of the community a chance to come along to the home for a tour and also ask any relevant questions they may have surrounding the care provided at Austin Rose Care Home 😊

There will be goody bags, entertainment, food and refreshments all provided for those who come along!

You will have the chance to meet the Home Manager, Mandi Hunter. Deputy Manager, Nafeeza and also the Customer Relations Executive, Mya🙏

This event will be held on Thursday 24th July from 4pm-6pm.
