Join us for an uplifting and inspiring back-bending workshop designed to help you explore deeper, more graceful backbends with ease. We’ll focus on techniques to safely open the shoulders and spine, making poses like Camel, Wheel, Forearm Wheel, King Cobra, King Pigeon, King Dancer, and Full Bow feel more accessible.

What to Expect:

• Anatomy Overview – Gain a clear understanding of spinal mechanics to support safe and effective backbends.

• Warm-Up & Preparation – Flow through a dynamic sequence to gently open the body.

• Backbending Techniques – Learn ways to improve flexibility and approach overhead grips with confidence, using a strap if needed.

• Pose Exploration – Try different variations of more expansive backbends, finding what works best for your body.

• Counterposes & Relaxation – End with soothing stretches to release tension and fully unwind.

Benefits:

• Learn how backbends can be both pain-free and healing.

• Increase shoulder and spine flexibility.

Overcoming the Obstacles to Joy 🤩 with .

A one week yoga reset in exploring the five Kleshas (+ eating slow curry, rope swinging, animals, swimming, dancing, new friends, tears and laughter)

In yoga philosophy the 5 Kleshas are like veils, obscuring our ability to experience a peaceful, joyful life:

Avidya (forgetting our true nature) Asmita (egoism)
Raga (attachment)
Dvesha (aversion)
Abhinivesa (clinging to life)

Observing these layers of humanness is the first step! Then we have the rest of life to keep stripping ‘em away with yoga😊
