A message from Dr Cheel.. 🥹

On 22nd April 2026 I will have seen my last patient and finally retired from General Practice here at Bartley Green Medical Practice.

I will look back on over 40 years of working as a family doctor with so many wonderful memories of patients and colleagues. It has been a real privilege to get to know so many of you and I will miss you immensely.

Thanks for all your good wishes for my retirement. I have been quite overwhelmed by the number of cards and gifts that patients have kindly given me. Thank you so much!

The time has come to hand over to the next generation, so I will get out of their way and go and climb another mountain, descend another pothole, bake another cake and look after my 6 grandchildren. Retirement will be busy, but that is the way I like to live!

I leave you in the very safe hands of the excellent care team at BGMP.
