Free hearing tests are quite common in our industry, aren't they? They're often used to get people through the door quickly. However, at MW Hearing Clinic, we do things a bit differently. While offering something for free may seem like a good idea, it often results in rushed assessments to handle the volume and puts too much pressure on clinicians to 'make the sale'.
This approach can present significant challenges for smaller clinics like ours, forcing us to choose between following the trend and compromising on service quality or charging for our services and potentially losing customers to competitors offering free tests.
We have decided to charge for our hearing tests at MW Hearing Clinic because we believe in providing thorough, personalised care. This ensures that each client receives the time and expert attention they deserve, truly reflecting the value of our services.
Recently, a client shared how our detailed assessments have significantly improved their quality of life, something they didn't experience with free services. Interestingly, the cost of our assessments doesn't seem to deter people from inquiring about our services. It's almost as if they expect to pay for a quality assessment.
In a market driven by volume, how can independent providers like us reinforce the importance of quality over quantity? Do you believe that quality should always come with a cost?
