My Cancer Journey – Turning Pain into Purpose
In 2021, during lockdown, I was diagnosed with Lymphoma Cancer.
I had never felt so alone. My family and friends were amazing, but the truth is — everyone I knew who had cancer had passed away. Both my grandfathers and close friends had lost their battles, so my first thought was: “How long do I have?”
I chose to go through chemotherapy — even though I never believed in medicine — because of my daughter, who was only 10 at the time. I knew I had to fight for her. If I didn’t try, and I passed away, I never wanted her to feel that I had given up.
Now, I am 3 years in remission. My doctors and nurses are proud of how I’ve embraced life with positivity, and I’ve written a book to share my journey.
But more importantly, I want to give back.
I am hosting an event to raise awareness for Lymphoma Cancer, to honour loved ones we’ve lost, celebrate survivors, and support families still fighting this battle.
Funds raised will go towards providing respite breaks for families going through cancer, giving them a few days of peace, comfort, and time together. This is something I would have loved for myself, my daughter, and my sister during treatment.
✨ No one should have to go through cancer alone.
If you can donate, no matter how big or small, it will make a difference:

I turned my pain into a purpose — to help others facing cancer know they are never alone. 💚
