Bowel cancer doesn’t always come with obvious symptoms and it doesn’t only affect older people.
Following yesterday’s “Too young for bowel cancer? Think again” webinar with David McArthur, we’re highlighting one simple test that can make a real difference: the FIT (Faecal Immunochemical Test).
The FIT test is quick, non-invasive, and can help detect hidden blood in your stool, often one of the earliest signs of bowel cancer.
It’s a small step that could lead to earlier diagnosis and better outcomes.
We’re really pleased to share that one of our former patients, Ramiz, has released a memoir 'Stronger Than the Scar'.
In it, he tells the story of being diagnosed with an acoustic neuroma in 1980s Iraq during wartime, and the huge challenges he faced just to access treatment. He also looks back on his facial nerve graft surgery here at The Priory Hospital, which was pioneering at the time.
