Have you ever looked down and noticed your urine looks a bit like... beer? Or soapy water?

It’s easy to flush and forget, but that foam might be your kidneys trying to send you a text message.

It’s called Proteinuria.

Think of your kidneys like a coffee filter.
When you make coffee, the filter keeps the grounds (the bad stuff) out but lets the liquid (the good stuff) flow through. Your kidneys do the same for your blood. They keep the protein in your body where it belongs and filter out the waste.
When the filter gets damaged...
Those big protein molecules slip through the cracks and end up in your urine. That’s what creates the foam.

Why does this matter?
Proteinuria isn't a disease itself; it’s a warning sign. It could mean:
• High blood pressure is stressing your kidneys.
• Diabetes is affecting your filtration system.
• Or simply that your kidneys need a check-up.

The Good News:
Caught early, kidney issues are very manageable!
If you see bubbles that don’t go away after a flush or two, don't panic—but do schedule a simple urine test.

Your kidneys work 24/7 for you. It’s worth listening when they speak up! ❤️
