I joined Slimming World in December 2012 and weighing in at nearly 15 stones, I’d had enough. On my first night at Slimming World I was welcomed with open arms, made to feel wanted and like I could achieve my dreams. All the choices were for me to make; my weight was kept completely confidential and I was given the most amazing present... a guide to Food Optimising – Slimming World’s famous and ge

nerous healthy eating plan. I was told to fill up on as much Free foods as I liked, such as meat, pasta and potatoes, and I was told I could still have chocolate and wine. I stayed for my groups IMAGE Therapy every Thursday, because without it I’d miss the fun, laughter and unrivalled support that goes on. We share each other’s successes and we pick each other up when we're down. Either way, it was where I wanted to be. There are competitions running throughout the year and I got voted 'Woman of the Year' for my group – I was so proud! The thing is, Slimming World makes losing weight easy and fun. There's no humiliation, no pressure, and never any judgement – just lots of lovely foods to keep you full and content, and a group of people believing in you. I love Slimming World so much that I decided to become a Consultant. Let me take you on a wonderful journey to your dream weight and you’ll never look back again!

Yes we have a new pack and an updated even more flexible plan, but you may ask why choose Slimming World, or my group?

We know that being part of a community greatly improves mental health and wellbeing, and is linked to being more motivated. Covid created a greater social divide, but we know that has humans we are a social species, thriving when we’re together.

Being part of a group based community that is focused but not obsessive about healthy eating is a wonderful experience.

Personal choice is central to my values and beliefs with no myth/ guilt. If you are considering retuning or joining I would love it if you considered my group.
