The Art of Asking Yourself the Deeper Questions
by Faith Spina
In a world that constantly tells us who we should be, where we should go, and what we should desire, pausing to ask ourselves the deeper questions is an act of rebellion and self-love.
True wisdom isn’t found in books or outside voices—it emerges from the sacred stillness within. But to access it, we must first ask.
Like an ancient oracle waiting to be consulted, your soul already knows the answers—but it will not impose upon you. It waits for your willingness, your inquiry, your readiness to receive.
So, breathe. Place your hand on your heart. Open the door to your own knowing.
And begin…
10 Questions for Self-Discovery & Soul Remembrance
1. Who am I beyond my name, roles, and story? (If I had no history, no labels, no expectations—who remains?)
2. What am I still holding onto that is not truly mine? (Which beliefs, fears, or wounds belong to my ancestors, society, or past selves that no longer serve me?)
3. What does my soul deeply long to express in this lifetime? (If I had no fear of judgment, how would I show up in the world?)
4. What parts of myself have I abandoned in order to be loved or accepted? (Where have I betrayed my own truth to fit in, and how can I reclaim those lost pieces?)
5. What does my body whisper to me when I finally listen? (Am I ignoring its wisdom? Where does it hold tension, pain, or longing?)
6. Where do I still seek external validation, and why? (What part of me still believes I need approval to be worthy?)
7. What is my relationship with the unknown? (Do I trust the unfolding of my life, or do I try to control it?)
8. If I could speak with my highest self, what would they tell me today? (Close your eyes. Listen. What do you hear?)
9. How would I move through this world if I fully embodied love? (Would I hesitate less? Would I speak my truth more? Would I forgive faster?)
10. If I knew my time in this body was limited (because it is), what would I prioritize differently? (What truly matters, beyond the illusions of this world?)
Your Soul is Listening…
There is power in sitting with these questions—not rushing to find an answer, but simply allowing the inquiry to stir something deep within.
Some questions may feel uncomfortable. That’s good. It means they are activating something ready to be seen.
Take your time. Journal. Breathe. Let the answers rise from within you like the morning sun—not forced, but inevitable.
You already hold everything you seek. Now is the time to remember.
