Are you ready to manifest your goals for 2025? Do you want to meet other disabled youth? Join for our first event of 2025, Vision for the Future: Empowerment Through Goal-Setting. We’ll be in Birmingham on February 9th for an afternoon of community building and vision board making. This event is free for all. We’ll see you there!

January is !

Mentoring is an incredibly valuable experience for both the mentor and mentee. Mentees receive the opportunity to discover and further their passions, expand their professional networks and receive firsthand knowledge from someone who was once in their position. Mentors are given a chance to learn leadership skills and shape the future of their industry.

As grows, we aim to launch our own mentorship program, matching youth to a successful disabled mentor who has succeeded in their industry. In fostering these relationships, we hope that youth will gain practical knowledge, confidence and the right connections to help make their dreams come true.

At a recent meetup hosted by Cerebral Palsy Midlands and Ability Opportunities, founder Saira Kauser had the pleasure of meeting so many inspiring attendees, including Nicholas. This is his story. Nicholas shared that he dreamed of pursuing a career related to computers, but was forced to abandon his aspirations. Initially, Saira struggled to understand why. As Nicholas opened up, it became clear that his dreams were not dashed due to his inability, but rather a lack of opportunities and support for people with disabilities.

When Saira explained the mission of EnableElite CIC – to empower individuals with disabilities to excel and take leadership roles – Nicholas reflected on how much he would have loved to have such opportunities available to him back then. His heartfelt words left a profound impact on Saira, highlighting the importance of EnableElite's work and the need to create a world where no one has to set their dreams aside due to a lack of support.

Nicholas’ story reminds us why EnableElite exists – to ensure that future generations have access to the tools, opportunities, and encouragement they need to achieve their potential. His experience fuels our determination to make a difference, one step at a time.

December 10 is International Human Rights Day. Today, we honour the fight for freedom, justice, peace, hope, dignity, equality and prosperity for all, including disabled people. Disability rights are human rights.

Name a better trio, we’ll wait. This weekend, EnableElite’s founding team got together to do some planning for 2025. So, what have we got in store? In the new year, some new changes will come into effect to make EnableElite even better. Keep an eye out for a mix of accessible career and education events too!
