National Association of Funeral Directors

National Association of Funeral Directors The voice of the profession The NAFD is the voice of the funeral profession.

We are proud to represent the views and interests of funeral directors from the smallest independent to the largest national provider. Our goal is to support our members in caring for the bereaved and the deceased in their care, as well as amplifying our members' voices to ensure that the funeral sector is front and centre in the media and in all of the UK’s Parliaments and Assemblies. The NAFD is

the largest trade association for the UK funeral sector with around 4,000 funeral homes represented alongside hundreds of funeral sector suppliers and international funeral firms. The size and diversity of our membership gives us the authority to represent the sector’s views to the highest levels of Government as well as the media and general public.

Whether you’re reconnecting with familiar faces or meeting new ones for the first time, this lakeside gathering offers the perfect atmosphere to unwind. Gentle acoustic sets from a live guitarist will provide a warm, laid-back soundtrack as the sun dips over the water.

Fuller Inquiry - Phase Two Report

Today the Phase Two report into the issues raised by the David Fuller case was published, immediately followed by a press conference with Sir Jonathan Michael, Chair of the Independent Inquiry.

Watch our news bulletin to hear what our Chief Executive, Andrew Judd, has to say about the report.

We will continue to collaborate with our peers and work closely with government to ensure the recommendations are implemented in an independent, proportionate and robust manner. Our work on learning and professional development, the inspection of members and a joint Scottish code have all laid the foundations for regulation. We were delighted to see this report mention many of these elements as crucial to the next step.
