March has been a truly special month across our homes, filled with meaningful celebrations and shared experiences that have brought residents and teams together ✨

From raising awareness during Nutrition and Hydration Week to enjoying the energy and fun of St Patrick’s Day, there has been something for everyone to take part in. We also proudly celebrated International Women’s Day, recognising the inspiring women within our communities, and marked Mother’s Day with thoughtful moments of love, gratitude, and reflection 🌷 🚺 🍎 🍀

Life across our 46 homes is shaped by these moments, both big and small. They create a sense of belonging, spark conversation, and bring joy to everyday life, making each home a vibrant and supportive place to live 🏡💜

Behind every celebration is the dedication and care of our incredible teams, whose passion continues to create engaging and meaningful experiences for our residents 👏💜

A Message of Thanks That Truly Means So Much 💜

We were incredibly touched to receive not just one, but two beautiful thank you cards from the families of our beloved residents, including Dorothy’s family, along with thoughtful treats and chocolates for our staff team to enjoy during their shifts 🍫💜

The kind words shared meant so much to us, expressing gratitude for the care, compassion, support, and warmth our team provides each and every day. Knowing that families feel reassured, supported, and confident in the care their loved ones receive is something we value deeply 💜✨

It is moments like these that remind us why we do what we do. Caring for your loved ones is never just a job, it is a true privilege, and being part of their journey means everything to us 💜🌸

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, your trust, and your appreciation. Your words continue to inspire and motivate our team to provide the very best care, every single day 💜💐

As part of our Marie Curie UK event, the garden became a place of purpose and anticipation, with John, Elizabeth and Carol carefully planting bulbs, each one a small promise of the colourful blooms to come. 💐 Mother’s Day at Manor House Care Home 💐

On a beautiful Mother’s Day at Manor House Care Home , our home was filled with love, laughter, and the gentle joy of togetherness as we welcomed families and friends to celebrate the incredible women who mean so much to us. From the moment visitors arrived, there was a warm, heartfelt atmosphere that wrapped around everyone, making the day truly unforgettable for our cherished residents and their loved ones 😄

The room was alive with conversation and laughter as everyone came together, creating a sense of belonging and happiness that could be felt in every corner of our home 🏡

Our celebration was made even sweeter with delicious cakes kindly donated by community champion Michaela from Asda , perfectly paired with comforting hot drinks. As cups were filled and plates were shared, so too were memories, as generations connected and celebrated side by side over treats and warm conversations 🧁☕

To make the day even more special, our wonderful ladies received thoughtful gifts including body spray, chocolate flowers, and handcream, small tokens of appreciation that brought big smiles. A heartfelt thank you to our team member Madelyn, who kindly brought in beautiful bunches of daffodils for each resident, adding a bright and personal touch that truly lifted spirits 🌼

Our dining room was lovingly decorated to honour the occasion, creating a setting that reflected just how valued and special our residents are. Every detail was chosen with care, ensuring our mothers felt celebrated, appreciated, and deeply loved on their special day 🥰

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped create such a meaningful celebration. It was a day full of love, connection, and cherished memories that will stay in our hearts for a long time to come 💟

🌼 Manor House Comes Together for the Great Daffodil Appeal 2026 💜

Last Wednesday morning, the lovely residents of Manor House Care Home , including John, Mary, Vera, Eileen, and Dorothy, joined staff members Angie, Tammy, and our deputy manager Dani for a truly special day of fundraising, fun, and community spirit!
The air was filled with laughter and warmth as homemade cakes, lovingly baked by Dani, were sold at our charity bake sale 🍰, while residents enjoyed taking part in the playful game “Where Did I Plant the Daffodil?” 🌱. Adding an extra touch of love, beautiful handmade daffodil brooches created by Barry’s daughter were also available to purchase, reminding everyone that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference 💛

This heart-warming event was part of the Marie Curie UK Great Daffodil Appeal, the charity’s biggest annual fundraising campaign, taking place across the UK from March 1 to March 30, 2026. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the appeal 🎉, a campaign that has raised over £72 million since it began in 1986 to support people living with terminal illnesses and their families. Millions of people wear the daffodil pin 🌼 as a symbol of hope, renewal, and compassion, and volunteers across the country collect donations to fund expert nursing care and emotional support services ❤️

At Manor House, we are proud that our residents and staff could come together to support such a meaningful cause. Every cake bought, every daffodil pin worn, every smile shared, and every donation made contributes to helping people live their remaining days with dignity, comfort, and love 💜. Seeing our community united for this cause was truly inspiring, and it reminded us all that hope grows when we care for one another

Whether you are planting a daffodil, wearing a pin, volunteering, or donating, the Great Daffodil Appeal shows that every action counts. Manor House is thrilled to play a part in this nationwide campaign, celebrating hope, compassion, and togetherness one daffodil at a time 🌼
