Many of our lovely residents have been enjoying several activities this week! ✨

Group games are not just entertaining; they also offer numerous benefits like enhancing brain function, boosting social skills, and reducing anxiety. Plus, they’re fantastic for memory, making them a great way to keep the mind sharp. We always encourage our residents to participate in as many activities as possible, and it's heartwarming to see them engaging, connecting, and having a wonderful time! ☺️

Residents have been enjoying several activities again this week! ✨ Armchair exercises, tabletop games, and balloon games have all been part of the fun!

We were thrilled to take part in The Royal Mint Museum ’s Reminiscence Box project here at Manor House Care Home ! 🏛️✨

This wonderful initiative brings a part of the museum collection into residential care settings, offering residents the chance to engage with genuine and replica items, audio descriptions, and storytelling activities.

We had such a lovely time reminiscing, exploring the fascinating objects, and sharing personal memories, sparking laughter, connection, and meaningful conversations. 💬💛

A big thank you to The Royal Mint Museum for this memorable experience!

Our Macmillan Coffee Morning was a fantastic success! ☕🍰
There were plenty of delicious cakes for our residents, relatives, and staff to enjoy and smiles all around! 😋💚

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special, all in support of Macmillan Cancer Support .

We were delighted to welcome a guest speaker from Age Concern Birmingham , who shared valuable information about local support services. ☺️

We also held a raffle to boost our fundraising efforts, and we’re thrilled to announce that we raised £170! 🎉💚

🎉🎂 Double Birthday Celebrations! 🎂🎉
We recently celebrated the birthdays of two of our lovely ladies, Yvonne and Norma! Yvonne was delighted to receive gifts from her sons, and Norma enjoyed a special visit with her family in the conservatory.

To make the day even more special, the local choir joined us in the afternoon to sing for residents and staff while collecting items for Harvest. They even gave a beautiful rendition of Happy Birthday to celebrate the occasion! 🎶💐

Such a joyful day filled with music, love, and laughter! ❤️

Our amazing Manor House staff team – Angie, Kathryn, Kim, and Sarah took part in the Alzheimer's Society Memory Walk at Sutton Park! 💙

They got moving with a Zumba warm-up before walking 6km through beautiful lakeside paths and woodlands. 🌳💃 Not even a bit of drizzle could dampen their spirits as they crossed that finish line with pride! 👟👏

Kane’s passion for cooking shines through in every dish he prepares. As our Head Chef, he consistently delivers meals that are not only nutritious and beautifully presented, but also full of heart, and they’re always a hit with our residents and team!

His commitment to maintaining the highest standards in the kitchen, combined with his ability to inspire and lead his team, truly sets him apart. Kane plays a vital role in the wellbeing of everyone at Manor House, providing comfort and joy through exceptional food every day.

We are so proud to have him as part of our team and can’t wait to cheer him on through the final stages of judging.
