☀️ Soaking Up the Last of Summer at Gold Care Homes! ☀️

Everyone at had an absolute blast making the most of the final days of summer! 🌻

From vibrant themed BBQs to joyful garden parties, our residents had a wonderful time surrounded by friends, family, and sunshine. ❤️

International Dog Day at Manor House! 🐾🐶

We celebrated all things dog with a fun-filled afternoon last week!
Residents were thrilled by a special visit from Vera’s adorable pooch, who quickly stole everyone’s hearts. 💕

We also had a great time playing “Guess the Pet” with photos of staff members' furry friends with lots of laughs and surprising guesses!

Our wonderful residents shared heartwarming stories about their own loyal companions from over the years.

It was a paw-some day full of smiles, cherished memories, and plenty of tail-wagging joy! 🐕🎉

Everyone enjoyed getting up close with some amazing creatures and the animals were very well behaved too! 🐾

Our residents have been enjoying several activities this week! ✨ Crafts, armchair exercises, tabletop games, word games and more.... have all been part of the fun!

Group games are not just entertaining; they also offer numerous benefits like enhancing brain function, boosting social skills, and reducing anxiety. Plus, they’re fantastic for memory, making them a great way to keep the mind sharp. We always encourage our residents to participate in as many activities as possible, and it's heartwarming to see them engaging, connecting, and having a wonderful time! ☺️

We were delighted to receive more beautiful donations of twiddle items from the wonderful knitting club at the Pheasey Centre. Dropped off by the amazing community champion Michaela (asda queslett) these handmade twiddle muffs will be shared with our lovely residents, where we know they will bring comfort and joy. ☺️

Twiddle muffs, knitted with care and adorned with a variety of textures and features are especially beneficial for individuals with dementia. They provide sensory engagement, soothe restless hands, and offer a warm, calming touch that promotes overall well-being. 🧤

As a gesture of appreciation and community spirit, we sent balls of wool back, supporting the knitting club with donations and contributing bags to the food bank as requested at recent meeting.

Thank you again for your kindness, creativity, and generosity! 💜
