NHS Dental Practice currently operating under the instruction of NHS England in response to COVID-19 NHS Dental Services.

Emergency dental treatment – £23.80

Band 1 course of treatment –
This covers an examination, diagnosis (including X-rays), advice on how to prevent future problems, a scale and polish if clinically needed, and preventative care such as the application of fluoride varnish or fissure sealant if appropriate. Band 2 course of treatment –
This covers everything listed in Band 1 above, plus any further

treatment such as fillings, root canal work or removal of teeth but not more complex items covered by Band 3. Band 3 course of treatment –
This covers everything listed in Bands 1 and 2 above, plus crowns, dentures, bridges and other laboratory work.

*Patient Notice*

We have received advanced notice of roadworks due to take place in the area over the coming weeks. These include road closures, temporary traffic lights and one way systems in operation from 25th May 2024 until 3rd July 2024.

Please ensure that if you are attending the practice during this time that you allow extra time for your journey to the practice and be aware that access to parking facilities in the area may be affected during your visit.

Patient Information - keeping your NHS patient status

As you are probably aware, current NHS dental access is extremely limited and it is important that if you currently have NHS patient status (either here or at any other dental practice) that you maintain this in order to secure future access.

The NHS guidelines state that in order to remain an NHS patient you must attend at the recall recommended by your Dentist based on your identified oral health needs. This is not a standard recall for everyone and could mean that you are advised to attend from every 3 months to a maximum period of 2 years.

Wasted appointments are currently the biggest drain of NHS resources and therefore your NHS status may be withdrawn if you:

*Fail to attend or do not give more than 24 hours notice cancellation for your intial appointment.

*Fail to attend or do not give more than 24 hours notice cancellation for 3 appointments within a 12 month period.

*Fail to attend or do not give more than 24 hours notice cancellation for appointments longer than 40 minutes.

Dear Patients,

Following recommended guidance from NHS England due to a rise in COVID cases, we have reintroduced the wearing of masks on the premises for all staff, patients and visitors unless there is a valid exemption.

If you do not have masks, they are available at reception for your use.

Important Notice - Completion of electronic forms.

The NHS consent forms and medical history form are legal forms required at a minimum, every check up appointment you attend. It is extremely important that these are completed prior to your attendance at the practice.

To make it easy for you, these forms are sent several days in advance of your appointment and can be completed at any time after you receive the link.

If for any reason you cannot complete electronic forms, you are welcome to nominate someone to do this on your behalf. Alternatively, please contact the practice prior to your appointment and allow us time to prepare paperwork for completion upon attendance

If you fail to complete your forms electronically, or fail to notify the practice that you require paper copies of the forms, we retain the right to cancel your appointment.
