This was a quick 20min painting when I was expressing diversity and my favourite park in Logan, each tree in a different colour to express the social diversity this area brings but also where we can visit turtles and be a part of their ecosystem.

Vinyasa yoga builds heat, power and stability which is why we balance it with Yin Yoga.

Strength isn’t about pushing harder, it’s about moving with control, breath and intention.

A fast-paced mind paired with fast-paced movement can keep the nervous system in constant activation.

Balance comes when we bring awareness to how we feel and why we feel that way. Every body and every life needs both effort and rest.

This is why dynamic practices like Vinyasa are balanced with Yin yoga. One builds strength and heat, the other supports the joints, connective tissues and nervous system. Together, they create sustainability, on the mat and in daily life.

Today I revisited one of my first oil paintings from years ago, a piece I once judged too harshly. Sitting with it now, noticing the colours, the reflection and the night sky, I felt a quiet sense of peace.

My son looked at me and said, “You don’t recognise how good you are, Mum.” And he was right. Sometimes we forget to see ourselves clearly.

As we return to routine after the holidays, this feels like a gentle reminder that life isn’t only about work, but about balance, gratitude and presence. When we make space for those things, our wellbeing naturally improves.

So each day, I try to step outside the usual rhythm of home, dinner and bed. I move, laugh, listen to music, practise yoga and simply spend time with my children.

Laughter and music is also my medicine just as is yoga and art, find your ways to fill your cup.

Life is meant to be lived.
You are in control of it.

Strength doesn’t need to be rushed.

When we slow down, pay attention to breath and move with intention, the body naturally finds stability and ease.

Yoga isn’t about how far we go.
It’s about how present we are when we arrive.

Creativity lives in all of us.
This was one of my paintings which was created during a time of growth, difficulty and expression.
You will see rough brush strokes and the power of life from one of the Big 5 Animals of Africa, the Rhino.

Looking back now, it reminds me that creativity often arrives before clarity.

Art, like yoga, has always been a place where I listen more than I control.

Creativity comes in many forms, the way we speak, innovate, lead, improvements we make, etc. find yours and be grateful for it.

Start your day rooted in what truly matters.
When I began prioritising my life through my values instead of urgency, everything changed.
• Clarity replaced noise.
• Self-awareness replaced doubt.
• And my choices started to feel aligned, not rushed.

So here’s how your alignment begins:

Choose honesty with yourself, even when it’s uncomfortable.
Honour quality over quantity in how you give your time and energy.
Let adventure live in curiosity, not fear.
Allow ambition to be guided by purpose, not pressure.
And return to love in how you speak, act and care for yourself and others.
These values guide the way I live and teach.

If one of these values resonates to you, let it shape how you move through today.

If you'd like to explore your own values, ask yourself what truly matters to you. Write down your top five, begin prioritising them, and notice how your decisions start to shift.

Stay mindful,
Stay consistent.

This is where real change begins.

With love
Jo

Time for Reflection and Gratitude

Each time you go through a change, starting fresh, rebuilding, learning, and growing. Paused and truly reflect, Recognise how much there is to be grateful for, growing wisdom, increased knowledge, resilience, perseverance.

Life has taught me that whenever we feel uncertain, we can take a deep breath, slow down, and turn inward.

Take a pen and start journaling, ask yourself:

- What makes me feel alive?
- What have I done to become the best version of myself, not for others, but for me?
- What would make me love and honour myself even more deeply than before?
As the year gently comes to a close, it’s the perfect time to reflect on:

- Acknowledging your strengths

- Reviewing your lessons

- Recognising your milestones

- Embracing your truth

- Taking one step at a time to become more mindful, too many tasks mess up the mind, do one thing at a time.

- Cultivating gratitude

- Connecting with those who nourish you

- And caring for your physical and mental wellbeing

Here’s to growth, gratitude, and grounding, to honouring how far we’ve come and creating space for what’s yet to unfold.

With love,

Jo
