Day 1 of the is here!
What is your fitness goal for 2021 and what would you like to achieve over the next 8 weeks?
Staff at Omnia will be tracking their steps using the in-built iphone/android step counters or by downloading one of the free pedometer apps (such as 'Pacer') and aiming to increase their daily steps to a target of 10,000 per day!

The New Year is a common time to think about ways we can improve our own health, fitness and well-being. In 2021, why not get involved in the 8-week from the 4th January?
Pledge to be more active by taking more steps each day, take up a new a new hobby or aim to run 5km using the NHS 'Couch to 5K' app [https://www.nhs.uk/live-well/exercise/couch-to-5k-week-by-week/] or commit to making simple healthier switches in your diet using the NHS EatWell website (https://www.nhs.uk/live-well/eat-well/).
At the Omnia, our staff are aiming to take 10,000 steps per day to improve their health and fitness. This is a simple goal and can be achieved without the need of a gym membership. Not only can taking 10,000 daily steps improve your heart and lung health, it can boost muscle growth, blood sugar control and improve mental health.
Check out the ParkRun website and feel free to share your resolutions and success stories. (https://blog.parkrun.com/uk/2020/12/02/join-us-for-the-parkrun-resolution/ #:~:text=Launching%20on%20Monday%204%20January,celebration%20at%20the%20halfway%20point)
