A post for small businesses 😊⏬️⏬️⏬️

I just wanted to make a little post today to reach out to all independent small businesses. Running a business comes with many pressures and more than anything it can feel quite isolating and overwhelming. This is why I feel it is so important to have good communication and support with local businesses, regardless of the industry. Let's raise each other up instead of staying silent or pulling each other down to form competition.
I have spoken to so many business owners who have been in tears because they have felt as though they've had no one to trust/talk with. And also going out of their way to please every customer (which is impossible).

I'd love passionately promote these 3 things for you...
1) Having confidence to charge not just what you need to scrape by, but actually take home a good wage. You deserve it and this will help raise the standard in your industry.
In most jobs your salary will and should grow in line with your experience, talent and skills/ qualifications.
2) Implementing policies into the business which protect your livelihood. Many people take the view that if you are self employed you should just have to 'deal with it' when you receive cancellations and missed appointments. I do not believe this is right, and many businesses cannot afford this type of loss. Please don't feel bad for protecting yourself and your employees. And don't ever allow customers/clients to speak/act in a disrespectful manner, you are worth more than that.
3) The most important one, which I have stated above. Support and talk with each other. I love building friendships with businesses which I can trust and refer clients towards. And it's a great feeling when you can bounce ideas around and just have someone to listen who might be going through or have gone through something very similar.
