At home on 22nd January aged 90 years. Harry a much loved dad also a doting Grandad of Heidi. Family and friends please meet for service at St Mary’s church on Wednesday February 7th at 1030 followed by burial in Cockfield at 1100. Any Enquiries to G T Worthy Funeral service , family flowers only donations if so desired to St Mary’s church a collection will be available. Family request that mourners wear bright colours. The family would like to extend an invite to comeback to Evenwood workmen’s club afterwards.

Harry will be loved and remembered by all his loving family and friends x

St Paul's Church in Evenwood, County Durham, was officially opened on September 18, 1867. It was built as the population of Evenwood expanded with the growth of coal mining in the 19th century. In 1890 major alterations were made to the church, including the installation of a new organ. However, the church was badly damaged by a fire in 1907, after which it was rebuilt.The church has s a finial style belfry, housing the church bells, over it's south western gable.

Escomb Church is the Church of England parish church of Escomb, County Durham, a village about 1+1⁄2 miles (2.4 km) west of Bishop Auckland. It is one of the oldest Anglo-Saxon churches in England and one of only four complete Anglo-Saxon churches remaining in England, the others being St Lawrence's Church, Bradford-on-Avon, Greensted Church and All Saints' Church, Brixworth. The church is a Grade I listed building.

Majestic and imposing, York Minster is the largest gothic cathedral north of the Alps.

The Duke of Kent married Miss Katherine Worsley here on June 1961. This was the first Royal wedding in York Minster since King Edward III married Philippa of Hainault there in 1328.

Wander around the gothic cathedral and look up at the Great West window to see the heart-shape worked into the tracery, known as the "Heart of Yorkshire’. Kiss under the Heart of Yorkshire and stay together forever.
