Not long to go until Hamsterley Beast Funduro brings the sun and fun to Hamsterley Forest - Forestry England ☀️🚵‍♀️🍻🏕

It demands a sacrifice though! That sacrifice comes in the form of you riders who make the pilgrimage to the forest for the weekend and shred the trails.
This Beast is powered by good times and community spirit.

There is still plenty of space for you and your crew thanks to Forestry England who have allowed us extra parking and spill over camping options.

Fantastic day at Northern downhill TT event at Hamsterley Forest - Forestry England.

Somehow we managed to take 3rd in our categories! 🥉🥉

Cracking event as ever. Just a good day out in the woods with great people.
If you've ever thought about trying a race, it's definitely a great place to start.

This years Hammers Jam event is almost sold out!

This is awesome as we really haven’t done any promo or advertised it.

For the uninitiated, Hammers Jam is our Time Trial event for young riders and takes place on Sunday 10th May, day 2 of Hamsterley Beast weekend.

This years race is brought to you in association with Hamsterley Trailblazers MTB . by which, I mean they are doing all of the hard work on the day 😆 this is good news for you lot. As many of you will know, the trailblazers have extensive experience of working with youngsters and with race events. This collab is going to make sure the event is the best day it can be for our young riders and an important step towards making Hammers Jam an essential addition to the calendar.

Join us at Hamsterley Forest - Forestry England for an awesome weekend of Bikes, Brewskis, Bangin Grub, Brilliant People and er… Bountiful Brand Beneficence.

We have our biggest event village yet with so many top brands attending and donating prizes thanks to the hard work of our great mates at Wetrocknride.co.uk and Inspiral Cycles who leverage their industry clout on our behalf to get some big names involved and some frankly awesome raffle, podium and spot prizes from the likes of: Madison, Schwalbe, Scott, Banshee, FIDLOCK, Hope Technology, ODI, and Renthal. We also have some awesome stuff from local brands, DFYRS and Patina.
It’s always humbling for us when the love we put into this event is matched by the community and we realise that people are willing to go out of their way to keep grass roots events like ours alive.

Let’s be real, we aren’t the Gnarliest, we aren’t the biggest. GMBN are never gonna turn up and make a vlog. All of our stages are available to ride for anyone, at any time for free. But all of that is what the point is not. The point is that something magical happens on Beast weekend. So many people tell us that they ride the forest week in and week out but when it comes to the Beast it feels like riding somewhere else entirely.

Our course is perfect for people who like to let rip at the trail centre and beyond with 8 stages manageable for everyone comfortable with uk trail centre red/black routes. A real event for the people, for the weekend warriors and have a go heroes. There’s enough here to keep you on your toes but it’s not going to scare the lining out of your shorts! We mix Trail Centre classics, DH park goodness and some wilder terrain to bring you a truly unique timed course.

It’s all about having a good time, having fun, doing battle with your mates and giving something back to the community. If you’re just finding your feet and fancy giving an Enduro race a try, the Beast is for you. If you’re a veteran rider that wants to destroy the whole field, the Beast is for you. If you’re a parent that wants a friendly and laid back event to take part in with your youngster, the Beast is for you.

Get amongst it, it’s like a git huge group ride and then you get to sit about in the sun afterwards with beers.

👉Update on Wear Bridge Closure, Wolsingham👈
Durham County Council are anticipating the bridge will be closed on the 2nd March 2026 for eight days to complete the final works, however all of this is very weather dependant and they may need to change or alter the closure if required.

Due to unforseen circumstances the clinic will be closed for at least this morning as we have no power or heating! 🧊🥶🔦

Electric cables are down at the bottom of the village so it will depend on how long the repair takes.

I will be in contact with anyone with an appointment but hopefully we're back up and running by lunchtime!! 🤞🤞🤞
