This week we are celebrating our wonderful Residents of the Day: Christina, Keith, Malcolm, Elaine and Valerie. Itโ€™s always lovely to spend some extra time recognising each resident and capturing these special moments together.

This week we have welcomed a Year 10 student to the care home for their work experience! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Work experience is a fantastic opportunity for young people to learn about working life, build confidence, and develop new skills. It also gives them a chance to see first-hand the rewarding role that care plays in supporting older people in our community ๐Ÿ“š

Alfie has shown empathy and compassion, responsability, confidence, professionalism and overall a great attitude to all of our residents and team ๐Ÿ‘

Today weโ€™ve enjoyed a lovely Book Club session followed by a fun and engaging game of Bingo ๐Ÿ“š๐ŸŽ‰

Our Book Club encouraged meaningful conversation, reminiscence and cognitive stimulation, as residents shared thoughts, memories and personal reflections inspired by the reading. It was wonderful to see everyone so involved and expressive.

Bingo brought plenty of smiles, laughter and a little friendly competition! Activities like this help to support concentration, number recognition and hand-eye coordination, while also promoting social interaction and a positive sense of achievement.
