🐾 January is National Dog Walking Month! 🐾

Did you know that walking isn’t just great for dogs—it’s amazing for people too? Regular walks can boost mental wellbeing, reduce stress, and even improve focus and confidence—key skills for employability!

At Employability Durham, alongside the Move Team, we host friendly group walks that combine fresh air, conversation, and wellbeing support. No dog? No problem! Everyone is welcome to join.

🎄✨ Advent Door #12 – Daniel’s Fresh Start! 🎁

When we first met Daniel, he was on long-term sick leave and facing serious health challenges 💔

Unable to return to his previous job and worried about mounting financial pressures, Daniel needed urgent support to take control and plan his next steps 🌟

Together, we broke things down using the Outcome Star tool and prioritised what mattered most 🙌 With tailored guidance and reassurance, we arranged local face-to-face appointments and acted fast:

✅ Referral to Welfare Rights for benefit advice
✅ Support from Citizens Advice for financial guidance

Now, Daniel feels clearer and more in control – the “stack of issues isn’t as big” and life feels less intimidating 🌈

Here’s to confidence, calm, and brighter days ahead! ✨
