A memorable first Christmas at Laurel Place with plenty of smiles, outfits and festive cheer!

Residents enjoyed tucking into presents and amazing food from our kitchen team 🥂

Some fun games throughout the day and staff were also treated to a little festive surprise with some cash prize crackers 🎁

We finished the day with a fabulous buffet spread, the perfect way to round off a wonderful Christmas celebration at Laurel Place 🎄✨🎅

✨ Great British Care Awards Night! ✨
We’re so proud to share that we had two members of our team make it to the regional finals of the Great British Care Awards! 🙌

A huge congratulations to Amy Brown and Nina Sackree for being nominated, an incredible achievement in itself. ⭐️ Although we didn’t take home the win this time, we couldn’t be prouder of you both and the dedication you show every single day.

It was a fantastic evening celebrating excellence in care and sharing a table with our fellow Exemplar homes – Tyne Grange and Tees Grange.

Here’s to continuing to make a difference and supporting the amazing work happening across our homes. 🥂

George has had a brilliant couple of days, starting with an amazing trip to see Wicked, followed by a few competitive (and very fun!) games of bowling 🎳💚 winning a game and getting a strike!

🎱 New Pool & Table Tennis Combo in the Hub! 🏓

Our brand-new games table has already become a big hit! It transforms from a pool table into table tennis in seconds, and our residents wasted no time getting stuck in.

It’s been brilliant seeing everyone enjoying some relaxed social time in the hub, with plenty of laughter (and a bit of healthy competition!). Even the staff are getting competitive…😁

We celebrated with fun moustaches, pie, peas and a pint, a photo Wall of Appreciation, and even a visit from a Turkish barber for hot towel shaves and fresh haircuts.

💅✨ Pamper Time at Laurel Place! ✨💅

Our wonderful Healthcare Assistant got involved in a lovely pamper session with one of our service users this week. He helped her choose a nail colour and even painted her nails for her! 💖

It was a heartwarming moment of interaction and involvement — showing once again that a little bit of care and attention can make someone’s day better 💅🏻

🐶Therapy Dog Visit 🐾

Today we welcomed back Harry the therapy dog to Laurel Place and he did not disappoint!

He brought so many smiles, interaction and sparked emotional memories for the people we care for.

The staff were also head over heels for his sweet nature and calming effect the he brought to the home. We can’t wait to have him back again 🐶🦴
