Hello…..
I thought it was time for me to show my face again, it’s been a while! Also to share a little about my work and my approach for those that are new to me and are interested.
My name is Emily and I am an integrative psychotherapist, which means I have a holistic approach to therapy, using both talking and somatic based therapies, and using multiple methodologies to provide an intuitive offering that suits the individual. I acknowledge everyone is different and so each therapeutic offering has to be.
I am also a yoga/meditation teacher with years of extensive training and experience in the use of yoga, breath work, somatic and mindful practices to support those experiencing the effects of emotional and physical trauma, acute anxiety, depression and those navigating the stresses of our modern world.
Whether offering therapy, sharing a yoga practice or holding a circle my intentions although they adapt, essentially remain the same. To create a space for people to be seen, and where possible heard, to curate an experience that provides access to regulation and rest, whilst offering enough safety to explore some of the more uncomfortable held experiences and sensations, with the intention to bear witness and ultimately support integration.
The practices and the spaces are locations where people are encouraged to come in absolutely as they are, with all that exists in that time for them. With the support of place and land, and within the ancestral constellations and experiential fields that surround us, it is my belief that we enter in to an act of remembrance, building a map to find our way back to our true nature.
Guided by both the Celtic and Lakota wisdom traditions, and rooted in the land and in nature my intention is to support individuals and communities navigating modern life to find ease and belonging.
