Over the last year I have been tweaking the classes to bring them into line with my current education and understanding of how the body works best...
Introducing:

Fascia Pilates:
I've fused classical Pilates with fascia release techniques to address what's restricting movement. Using simple tools like tennis balls, bands, a rolled-up towel, light weights and breath, we release impacted fascia, decompress joints, and get your body moving freely again.
All movements are an invitation to explore what's going on in your body to improve movement, flexibility, coordination, balance and strength.

Breathe, Move, Relax:
Is a gentle, all seated/lying down class. Connection to breath with different breathing techniques to help reset the nervous system, hand and foot self-massage, gentle mobility for all joints and muscles, ending with a guided meditation. Equipment for this class: cream or oil for self-massage, blanket, pillow.

The eat well plate that we use in the UK also needs a major revamp!!

But also, you need to take responsibility for what you put in your mouth...

Learn to listen and respond to the feedback your body gives when you eat certain foods.

Ear real food - avoid foods with ingredients lists is the simplest way, but not always easiest.

Be aware of subtle indicators (painful tongue after eating particular foods), sometimes less subtle (itchy skin, skin breakouts, constipation, bloating, diarrhea, abdominal pain). These are indications that your body isn't happy with something you have consumed.

Get curious.

I love Continuum Counselling 's approach to grief for those of us left behind 🙏💞

This is a hill I'm prepared to die on! Well metaphorically anyway...

While Elizabeth Kübler-Ross’s "Five Stages" model is famous for its simplicity, it was originally designed for the terminally ill, not those grieving a loss. Applying it to bereavement is misleading, yet many "experts" still lazily rely on it today.

Modern grief science has moved far beyond this outdated roadmap. We now have empirical, research-backed models that far more accurately reflect the messy reality of losing a loved one.

Over my next few posts, I’ll be sharing the more effective models I use in my practice. Let’s start a conversation that moves past these old myths and toward a truer understanding of grief.

It's been a while... and early(ish) January is as good a time as ever to do a wee intro to me in case you have forgotten who I am and what I do or if you are one of my new connections. Tell me in the comments one fun fact about you...

Hi, I Am Jen Wilson, The Healing Rebel.

I help women reconnect with their bodies and reclaim their health through movement therapy, holistic healing, and the radical act of listening.

Living with Crohn's disease and endometriosis taught me what happens when we ignore our body's wisdom, and showed me a different way. Now in my late 40s, navigating perimenopause, I support women through deep 1:1 healing sessions and movement classes, combining evidence-based Pilates with fascia work, therapeutic massage, Reiki, Reiki Drumming (see photo) and lifestyle coaching.

Since 2009, I've worked with women managing chronic pain, autoimmune conditions, perimenopause, and the messy, beautiful journey back to themselves.



With qualifications in Sport & Exercise Science and over 16 years of experience, I bridge the gap between conventional healthcare and holistic healing.

The health service wasn't built to manage chronic illness. It was built for acute situations (broken bones, heart attacks etc) and it isn't coping with the demands of chronic illness. We have to take responsibility for so much more of our own health.

Based in North Glasgow, working worldwide thanks to the internet. Podcast host (I Am Jen Wilson, The Healing Rebel on most podcast platforms and YouTube). Author of "9 Rules to Sort Your S**t". Herbal tea obsessive (I make my own blends). Nature lover (I forage many of my tea ingredients). Sober since 2014 (had an awakening sitting on a beach in Ibiza watching the sun rise).
