Hello folks. Just a little reintroduction. Many of you know me, but in case you're apprehensive about booking or have never had a treatment before, hopefully this will allay some of those questions or fears you may have.
I'm Jen and this is my 11th year in practice as a therapist, here in Bishop's Castle. I am a fully qualified sports and holistic massage therapy practitioner.
I offer a range of therapies for pain relief, stress, anxiety and movement maintenance. These include Massage, Myofascial Release, Reflexology, Cupping, Reiki, Indian Head Massage and Hot Stone/Bamboo Massage.
Each one of us is unique, so at your first appointment, I'll take you through a detailed consultation where I can get some background, medical information and ask about your lifestyle. This gives me more of a "holistic" idea of your overall wellbeing. This is totally confidential.
We will discuss which treatment may be best suited and I'll ask if you have any questions. You will then be asked to undress to your level of comfort, always keeping underpants on. You will be covered for modesty at all times, apart from the area I am working on. You will be asked to lie on the couch, under the covers. I always leave the room whilst you do this to respect your privacy and only return to the room when you are covered. Same at the end of a treatment.
I can assure you of a judgment-free, calm and welcoming space for you to relax and give your body and mind that vital time to unwind and begin its own healing.
Spots, cellulite, scars, tummies, bingo wings, hairy backs, stubble on legs - non of this matters and in 11 years, I have seen a lot of bodies and really aren't phased.
During your treatment please feel free to ask for more or less pressure, a drink if you're thirsty, for the heating to be turned up or down - it's your session and to get the most out of it, you need to feel comfortable.
When it's finished, I will get you a glass of water and again, leave the room so you can dress in private. I will then give you some aftercare advice.
If you have any queries about any of my treatments, or would like to pop and visit the treatment room prior, please drop me a message.
I look forward to seeing you soon.
