Rob (56) is een sportliefhebber in hart en nieren. Hardlopen, fietsen, hiken: stilzitten is geen optie. In 2022 ging het mis, toen hij tijdens een hardloopwedstrijd met zijn zoon een hersenbloeding kreeg.

Maar Rob gaf niet op. Na een zwaar revalidatietraject vond hij via zijn ergotherapeut een nieuwe passie: frame running. Rob vertelt: “Ik doe het nu al 2 jaar. Een paar keer per week ga ik ermee rennen, soms maak ik tochten van 10 tot 20 kilometer. Het liefst in de natuur.”

Eerder dit jaar liep hij de Stevensloop, een hardloopwedstrijd in Nijmegen. Samen met zijn zoon haalde hij na 10km de finish. “Tijdens de hardloopwedstrijd met mijn zoon in 2022 kreeg ik mijn hersenbloeding. Dit keer liepen we samen naar de eindstreep. Dat was zó bijzonder.”
