At a time when nature calls us to rest, sometimes we end up doing the opposite.

If you suffer with anxiety, the Christmas period can have you feeling guilty that you’re not doing enough, overwhelmed that you have too much to do and burnt out because of the financial and social pressure the festive season brings.

Place boundaries at this time of year, listen to your body and take rest and help when you can.

Go within this Christmas and you’ll find that the start of your New Year will be filled with ease calm and peace.

I have one full week left of work and then I’m taking some time off to be with my family and recharge ❤️.

if you do need some support with anxiety, feel free to book a free consultation in with me so you can say goodbye to anxiety for good in 2025.

Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month: It’s Time to Talk..

This month, sadly I was reminded of just how important it is to check in on the men in our lives.

The statistics are heartbreaking: 1 in 8 men suffer from mental health problems, and su***de remains the leading cause of death for men under 50.

Everyday pressures—work stress, financial burdens, relationship struggles—are weighing men down, and many feel they can’t talk about it or know how to process these emotions.

But silence can be deadly.

If you’re struggling, please know this: you don’t have to face this alone. Sharing your feelings doesn’t make you weak—it’s one of the bravest things you can do.

And for all of us: Let’s check in with our mates. Ask them how they’re really doing. Listen. Support.

Together, we can help end the stigma around men’s mental health.

💙 If you need help, you can find support at:

Reach out to Samaritans by calling 116 123 (UK).
You can also visit Mind at mind.org.uk.
Talk to a friend, family member, or therapist.

Learning how to effectively process emotions after only knowing how to push them down is a process, but you can get there and you are bloody worth it!

Read….
We all experienced things in different ways, some of us brush things off without the past having a detrimental impact to us, and some embody things deeply.
But I believe that we are all affected by the past in someway as no parent or caregiver can be 100% perfect.

Just like we as adults today will never be 100% perfect.

Our parents and caregivers are human and imperfect, which as a child we don’t have the capability to understand and often blame ourselves for the things that ‘did or didn’t happen’ that continue to affect us now.

I have been in meetings with other therapists who tell me this isn’t an excuse. But I really don’t think that blaming our caregivers for things in the past is actually that helpful, you may choose to not forgive them and you may find it’s helpful too forgive to let go, it’s all a very personal experience and depends on the things we experienced. (Inner child work can be really helpful to acknowledge the parts of us that continue to hurt@and affect us).

What I do find powerful is finding out why we are struggling today, what we experienced that caused, what beliefs were taken on board subconsciously and finding understanding, to realise that the things we experienced wasn’t because WE were any less worthy.
We didn’t deserve them, but we cannot change the past and the more we live blaming everyone around us we cannot heal.

All we really have is NOW are you ready to feel to heal?
