Training didn't go well, it was so hot, I needed to stop and queue for the loo so many times (!), I didn't do the time I wanted... but I DID IT! I completed the 2025 London Marathon and raised over ÂŁ2000 for

I didn't do it alone though. I had the support of my husband in training, the expertise of a sports therapist, Jess Barclay , and the encouragement from my family and the London crowds on the day.

This was a personal goal for me in midlife. I know not every wants to achieve the same goal. And let's face it, just getting through menopause can be enough of a marathon in itself!

April is Stress Awareness Month 🌿
And let’s be honest… stress hits different in your 40s and 50s.

You’re juggling everything – work, family, ageing parents, changing hormones – all while trying to remember where you left your keys (again). Check the fridge!😅

But here’s the thing: chronic stress doesn’t just feel overwhelming – it can worsen menopause symptoms too.
💥 Hot flushes
💥 Low mood
💥 Poor sleep
💥 Belly fat that won’t budge

It’s all connected. And it’s not your fault.

The good news? You can start to feel more in control.
Not by doing everything, but by going back to basics – eating well, moving regularly, sleeping better and finding moments of calm.
