Thursday at Meadowbrook ๐
We had another wonderful Thursday filled with meaningful activities that brought joy, movement, and connection to our residents!
Our day began with a visit from the amazing Glenn Bowers, a local PT and firm favourite among our residents. Glenn led a gentle exercise session designed to improve mobility, strength, and overall well-being. These sessions are not only great for physical health but also boost confidence and independence โ and they always come with a good dose of laughter too! ๐ช๐
Next, we were joined by the lovely team from Happy Kids Childminding. Intergenerational activities like these are incredibly special. They bring so much energy and happiness into the home, and itโs heartwarming to see the smiles on both the childrenโs and residentsโ faces. These moments help reduce feelings of loneliness and create a real sense of community and purpose. ๐งธ๐
To finish off our day, we took a scenic outing to the beautiful Down Hall Estate. The fresh air, peaceful surroundings, and historic charm made for a relaxing and enjoyable afternoon. Time spent in nature can have a calming effect on the mind, and trips like these help keep our residents connected to the world beyond our walls. ๐ฟ๐๏ธ
Itโs days like this that make Meadowbrook feel like more than just a care home โ itโs a place full of life, joy, and togetherness.
