🍫☕️ What a lovely afternoon ☕️🍫

We had the pleasure of visiting The Secret Truffletier this week! We enjoyed chocolates, milkshakes and ice creams and brought back chocolates for those who couldn’t make the trip! 🍫🧋🍦

It was an afternoon filled with singing on the minibus there and back, lots of dad/grandad jokes and giggles and good company! 🎶

We can’t wait to go back to do one of the chocolate experiences that look so delicious! 🍫☕️

Sometimes a picture is just too good not to post! This morning Pamela enjoyed having her hair done by the talented Sarah, our own professional hair stylist here at Meadowbrook Care Home. Everyone deserves to feel special and Sarah not only cuts, colours and styles hair but also takes the time to chat and we know how important that is to our residents, so whether its with a glass of fizz or a cup of coffee our stylish and comfortable salon is always a popular spot! 🤩

What a fantastic Bank Holiday Weekend here at Meadowbrook! 🌞🍷🍔

We kicked off the weekend with a wonderful visit to baileyhillswine for a Vineyard Tour & Wine Tasting 🍇🍷 — a lovely afternoon enjoyed by all!

Back at Meadowbrook, the celebrations continued with our amazing Bistro Assistant James serving up delicious cocktails and refreshing mocktails in the garden 🍹🌿 The sunshine, laughter, and great company made it extra special.

We then rounded off the weekend with our very first Family BBQ of the summer ☀️🔥 Families and residents came together to enjoy tasty food, drinks, BBQ games, and lots of fun memories.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the weekend so special — here’s to many more summer celebrations ahead! 💛

🎂🎉 Happy Birthday Eileen! 🎉🎂

Today we celebrated Eileen turning 99! She was well and truly spoilt!
We started the day off decorating her door and giving her gifts and balloons. Eileen then enjoyed a wonderful trip out with her two daughters and returned to birthday cake and singing at supper!

We had a lovely end to our week on Friday where we held a celebration of healthcare professionals in our home. We invited our local discharge team, district nurses, social prescribers, paramedics and members of Hertfordshire care providers to enjoy a glass of fizz and some canapes to take a few moments out of their busy day for us to say thank you 🥰 All attendees left with a bottle to kick start their weekend too!
