🩰 The Nutcracker 🩰

Yesterday we had the most magical day in London with our lovely Shirley and her daughter! We enjoyed a beautiful French restaurant on St Martin’s Lane. Then we went to the London Coliseum to watch The English National Ballet’s performance of The Nutcracker! First we did have to get some pictures with the iconic pointe shoe tree! We then took our seats and were taken into the magical world of Clara with her Nutcracker!
Shirley loved sharing stories with us about her ballet experience growing up and how she loves seeing the ballet dancers of today perform so beautifully!
Shirley said she’d had the most wonderful day and didn’t want the day to end! She’s even got a bucket list now!

⭐️Wow! What a week we’ve had! ⭐️

✨We started our week off with a visit from Happy Kids Childminding Service who brought beautiful handmade calendars with them for our residents! The residents love this very special time each week with the children! ✨

🇮🇹We then went on an armchair travel to Italy! Our residents enjoyed a tour of all the impressive sights while listening to some beautiful Italian music. They loved answering all the quiz questions we threw at them. We ended the session reminiscing about where our residents had been in Italy on their travels. 🇮🇹

🐴This week we also had a magical visit from Pebbles the Pony. The residents loved giving Pebbles all the fuss and love and I think Pebbles liked our residents too! She went round room to room to make sure no one missed out! Parties with Pebbles🐴

🎤We also had some wonderful performances from our very own Lucy who took the residents to the musicals! And we had the wonderful Colin Wells who the residents loved dancing and singing along with! 🎤

Lifes fulfilment - a painting by Meadowbrook Residents⭐️

This weekend residents found their artistic skills and completed this beautiful painting for our bistro. We wanted to bring a little bit of colour to help fight the January blues away! 🎨

Along with our painting, our new wreath was made for our reception desk, new table decorations for our bistro and our welcome sign and dog treat stand was given a new look. Pop in to see the bursts of colour welcoming guests! ⭐️

What a wonderful Christmas 🎄

We had a wonderful visit from The Light Ranger on our way back from seeing Snow White the panto @ South Mill Arts Centre 🎭

We had lots of entertainment and festive cheer! Residents loved having a boogie to the wonderful Miguel who provided us with songs old and new! 🎶

Christmas Day saw the residents opening presents together in the lounge surrounded by friends and family! It was so lovely to see the joy on everyone’s faces! 🎁

Wow! What a week we had last week!
The residents enjoyed festive games and activities and we welcomed the community in for our spectacular Winter Wonderland event! We had a visit from santa, live reindeer and a festive market. It even snowed!
It was so lovely to see so many families enjoying lots of festive fun!

A busy but wonderful day yesterday at Meadowbrook! 🎄

We enjoyed our Community Christmas Dinner with a fabulous singer who filled the room with festive spirit.

And to finish the evening, we were treated to a brilliant show by Tickled Pink Productions. What a day!
