Question... do you understand what a direct cremation is?
We don't make the reality look anything other than it is, it is plainly and simply a cremation. This mini video clip produced by the campaign, gives a reality check, with a clear, simple representation.
It saddens us when families tell us they never had a chance to say goodbye and are left in 'bereavement limbo', often having had no idea that mum or dad had taken out an online direct cremation plan with good intentions.
If you are considering taking this route, please speak with your family before doing anything, make sure that they are happy with what you believe is right for them when you pass, before you take any action. You may be surprised by their need to have a funeral and say goodbye to you in their own way.
If a direct cremation is the right thing once you have done all your research, we can offer this locally, with optional use of our Chapel of Rest for that important opportunity to say farewell and above all, we will of course handle everything with care.
