If you have young children, choosing guardians is arguably the most important decision in your will. It's not just about who loves your children it's about values, lifestyle, location, education, philosophy, and whether they have the capacity to take on this responsibility. Would your children need to move? Change schools? Leave their community? These are difficult questions, but essential ones. Let me help you think through this crucial choice.

We’re coming up to the end of the 2025/26 tax year. If you haven't reviewed your will recently, this is an excellent prompt to do so. Tax laws change. Personal circumstances change. Asset values change. A will that was appropriate five years ago might not serve your family's best interests now.

Let's review your estate plan and make sure it's still working as hard as it should for you and your loved ones.

None of us knows what tomorrow brings, and without a will, you're leaving crucial decisions about your estate to the law rather than to your own wishes. The people you love deserve better than uncertainty. Show them you care. Make sure your will is in place.

What a week! While I've been up in Scotland, Greg James has been pedalling his way here too 🚴—He's just finished his Big Bike Ride for Comic Relief. What an incredible achievement.
It's such a brilliant reminder that generosity takes all shapes and sizes. What I've learned from working with my clients: the ones who care most deeply about causes like Comic Relief often think about how to support them for the long term by including them in their will.
Have you thought about this? It's genuinely one of the most meaningful ways to leave a lasting legacy.

If you've been inspired by Greg's efforts,, and you're wondering how to make sure your support for causes you love continues beyond today, I'd love to chat about it.

Friday the 13th and we're thinking about luck and preparation.

Whether you believe in superstitions or not, there's something wise about being ready for whatever life throws our way. We insure our cars as a practical safety net, shouldn't we do the same with our most important wishes?

Having your affairs in order including your lasting powers of attorney, a will in place, and your final wishes documented isn't about bad luck. It's about peace of mind for you and the ones you love.

Why wait for a lucky day? Let's get prepared today.

With the Winter Olympics capturing our imagination and the ski season underway, the mountains are calling. Watching elite athletes push boundaries inspires many of us to hit the slopes ourselves. But as those Olympic athletes know, winter sports come with challenges that call for preparation as much as passion.
Each year, many travellers find themselves needing medical or financial support after an unexpected incident abroad. While travel insurance can cover medical costs, it doesn’t answer important questions: who makes decisions about your treatment if you can’t? Who manages your finances if you’re recovering away from home?
A Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) ensures those decisions are made by someone you trust. An LPA for Health and Welfare lets your chosen person make care and medical decisions on your behalf, while an LPA for Property and Financial Affairs ensures your bills are paid and your finances are protected.
No one plans for accidents but being prepared brings peace of mind. Whether you’re heading to the slopes or simply living life to the full, make sure the right protections are in place. Get in touch to discuss how a Lasting Power of Attorney can help safeguard you and your family

Just like building the perfect stack of pancakes protecting your loved ones takes thought and care. 🥞

Layer one: your will ensures your assets go to the right people, names guardians for your children and gives your family clarity when they need it most.
Layer two: Lasting Powers of Attorney lets you choose who'll make decisions about your health, finances and welfare if you're ever unable to do so yourself. Crucially, it’s not just for later life accidents and illness can happen at any age.

Together, they're the foundation of a solid plan. And we can whip up a plan of action almost as quickly as a batter mix. Getting it sorted doesn't have to be complicated or time-consuming.
Take a moment to think about what really matters and stack up protection for your family's future.

Love doesn't need a certificate, but your estate does.

It's Valentine's Day and while love doesn't require paperwork, legal protection absolutely does. Many couples assume that living together gives them the same rights as marriage but it doesn't. Without a will, your partner may not automatically inherit anything, no matter how long you've been together.

It's not romantic in the traditional sense, but the most important love letter of all is a properly written will. This tells your loved ones: "I thought about and planned for you and want to protect you." It removes uncertainty and stress during what will already be a difficult time. That's true love in action.
Don't leave your loved one vulnerable. Let's ensure your relationship is protected where it matters most: in law.

Tonight’s finale of The Traitors reminds us why suspense works so well on television. Secrets. Twists. Last-minute revelations.
But we know from experience in real life, those same elements tend to cause stress, confusion and lasting family tension. When someone dies, their loved ones don’t want to be left trying to interpret clues, second-guess intentions or piece things together. They should be able to rely on clear instructions, set down properly, while everything was calm and considered.
A professionally written will does exactly that. It removes doubt, prevents misunderstanding and gives your family certainty at a time when emotions are already high.
No drama. Just clarity and peace of mind.
Are you ready to be faithful to your wishes and to the people you care about? Plan ahead and rest assured.

Blue Monday? Perhaps.
Writing a will isn’t pessimistic or gloomy. It’s practical and considerate.
Most people who put it off aren’t avoiding the document. They’re avoiding the feeling. Once it’s done, what’s left is relief. It’s one of those jobs that quietly gives you peace of mind for years.
Sorting your will is one of those jobs that feels much lighter once it’s done. If this has been on your list for a while, now is a good time. When you’re ready, we can help you get it done properly.
Plan ahead and rest assured.
