We’re halfway through our first week of the year, how’re your nutrition and training goals going? Have you started yet, have you been inspired by loved ones or people around you who have started their journey to bettering themselves for what they want to achieve? Are you thriving or already having moments where you feel like you want to quit? You need to ask yourself are you going to quit or are you going to knuckle down and push through.

You shouldn’t have drastically changed your life overnight to help achieve these goals, whether that’s for better health, to improve in your body composition by losing body fat or weight, or even to be gaining muscle. Drastic and extreme changes will go both ways, what goes up must come down sadly.

If you want someone to take the thinking out of it all for you, to keep you accountable or to push you through those tough workouts then find yourself a coach or personal trainer, they know what they’re doing and should have experience dealing with these scenarios.

If you’re going to invest in a coach or trainer though it has to be something you’re going to dedicate to, he/she can’t do the work for you but they can guide you and help you along the way.
I know this has been a long post but I hope we all push through.

Have you got your New Years resolutions planned yet?

Earlier this week, after 4 years I have handed my notice in. In January I will be prioritising Online coaching and one-to-one training full time.

I have a few spaces available left for a January start so for anyone whose resolutions are to potentially clean up their diets, gain some muscle, lose body fat or tone up and increase your general health and fitness feel free to message me or complete the pre-coaching questionnaire

I don't aim to do a lot of heavy squats, I usually aim for a good range of motion, but weighing 75kg and squatting 120kg with a range of motion i felt that was better than most wasn't a bad achievement for myself I think, although attempting this did ruin my legs day as I run my time down, there's always the weekend to train legs again though!

The muscle up, finally succeeded in getting the movement done, next step is to get the technique perfected and perform it on a straight bar! Very happy with myself if I must say!

I will be taking part in the 1000/500 Burpee challenge. The event will take place on Sunday 22nd June (starting at 9am) at ‘Fudgey’s Health and Fitness Club’ – please come along and show your support! This is something I have never done before and I'm expecting it to take a few hours! I would very much appreciate it if you could sponsor me. All money raised will be donated to the ‘Garw Valley Community First Responders’. ‘First Responders in Wales are volunteers who donate their spare time to attend appropriate 999 calls and provide first hand emergency care to people in their own community.’ As I am not around until the date if you would like to donate please get in touch and try to form some kind of arrangement. Good luck to the rest participating!!

Here I have a little something I made last night, the amount I have made 3 servings
Easy to cook, easy to prep
All that's needed is some turkey, I used 700g of skinless fillets
Carrots, I used 4
A pepper
An onion
Some green beans
Smoked cubetti di pancetta
And half a chorizo
Oil an oven dish and place in diced onions with turkey, cook for roughly 20 minutes
Prep other ingredients by cutting how you want, after the 20 minutes has passed flip turkey and add in all other ingredients, cook for a further 15-20 minutes, stir and cook for a final 15-20 minutes extra
Final stage, enjoy!
