Bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (or BHRT) is the use of hormones that are identical to those in our bodies to help slow the ageing process in both men and women, restoring energy levels, strength, libido and general well-being. In women BHRT also overcomes the symptoms of menopause much more effectively than is possible with standard HRT and without any of the side-effects.
Medical aesthetic treatments are used by us in two main areas:
Fighting the signs of ageing through skin treatments that improve skin health, quality and vitality
Caring for medical conditions, particularly long-term health problems, that standard medicine often struggles to treat well, such as migraine headaches, hyperhidrosis, acne scarring and tendinitis, to name just a few.
Bio-identical hormone therapy: This consists of daily hormones (usually testosterone, oestrogen and progesterone, plus a couple of others), taken as tablets and/or creams, whose doses are individually tailored as a result of very specific blood tests that are taken before treatment starts. Unlike standard HRT available through the NHS, this therapy works on both men and women and has few, if any side-effects. Within just a few weeks of starting treatment, patients report improved energy levels, confidence and libido, and among women greatly reduced menopause symptoms. Treatment can continue for years, with regular check-ups to ensure that the hormonal doses used remain appropriate.
Medical aesthetic treatments: All of our aesthetic treatments are characterised by being gentle and having minimal invasiveness. Success often requires repeat treatment sessions over a period of weeks, though this is highly variable from one individual to another. They are rarely a magic bullet, so some patience is required, but are highly effective, with results developing slowly over days or weeks.
Our aesthetic anti-ageing treatments include:
Anti-ageing treatment through injections of various agents, such as dermal fillers
Lip enhancement through injection of fillers
Profhilo or Nithya injections to boost the skin's own natural collagen synthesis
Supply of Skinade, a collagen-rich nutritional drink that promotes skin health across the whole body
Mesotherapy treatments using tiny multiple injections of nutrients to boost skin health and vitality
Carboxy (carbon dioxide) and oxygen skin treatments to boost blood flow to the skin and so enhance the flow of nutrients to the skin
Healthcare aesthetic treatments include:
Treatment of migraine headaches through injections of carbon dioxide and other agents
Treatment of scarring caused by such issues as acne, psoriasis, injury and operations through application of dermaroller, dermapen, carboxy and oxygen therapies
Treatment of muscle injuries, tendinitis and other sports-related injuries through carboxy and oxygen therapies
