Merwood Care Home The Merwood is a pleasant and luxurious rest home situated on the Promenade in the quiet village Of Bispham Blackpool.

The Merwood is an established registered Care Home for older people which has operated from 1989.The home is a detached property situated on the Promenade at Bispham, very close to local shops and amenities .To the front of the Home is a drive way leading to a car p

arking area, there is also a paved garden area with feature planting .To the rear of the Home is a delightful walled garden with a large pond and a garden. The Home accommodates 16 people using the service for older person. The accommodation comprises of 14 single bedrooms and 1 double room arranged over two floors, along with a mezzanine level, with all bedrooms having the benefit of en-suite facilities. There are two large lounges and a very pleasant dining room .The home has sufficient communal toilet and bathing facilities .Ramps are situated at the front and rear of the home enable people using the service and visitors to enter and exit the home safely

After over 15 years, I am saying good bye to Merwood. As manager, I would like to thank everyone past and present. For all your support over the years. Merwood has been a massive part of my life, the residents have made everyday a privilege for me to be there, and be part of their lifes, families and visitors have been like an extended family and I thank you all for your support and kindness over the years, you've made my role a pleasure, never a chore. Thank you all.

This year residents are exercising to Elephants have wrinkles, to raise funds for Children in need, they will dress in yellow and have full day partying pudsey crossword, word search and colouring each dY in the build up. If you feel you can support their efforts , please make a donation to one of the staff who will add it to the fund, of course as always you will see the end results.
