May to August 2025 Recap...

May - May was a busy month with our first ever fundraising event in Preston which was a sell out event. Our May Holiday Club which is always a great one. And finally, the most exciting part of May was our Blackpool Residential Trip to Bendrigg Trust. Which was a highlight of the year 🌳

June - June was a quiet month for us with our weekly groups running in all areas. We were all busy away planning for Summer Holiday Clubs 2025. We also spent the time to update all our forms and procedures to make sure we are always running to the highest possible standard πŸ“

July - We had our Sponsored walk where a group of our Office Staff, Support Workers, Parents and Young People walked nearly 19 miles from Bispham to Preston to raise money for Play Inclusion Project. We managed to raise over £1500.00 for iPads for our groups 🀩

August - August is all about our biggest holiday club of the year, Summer Holiday Club 2025. We had the best time and made lots of memories 🌞

Stay tuned for our final highlights from September to December, coming tomorrow!

January to April 2024 Recap....

January - After a bustling Christmas season, our headquarters enjoyed a night out to celebrate all we accomplished in 2024 whilst also saying goodbye to our Sophie πŸ₯³

February - Or the month of training we will call it in 2025. We took part in many training courses to help improve our services. Luke enjoyed a two day course in Manchester to receive a qualification in People Moving and Handling. A group of Area Managers headed to LCC HQ for a Break Time Providers Training. Then we ended the month with a DSL training course with Phil. It was a very insightful month πŸ˜€

March - We had our first Fundraising Event of the year and it was Psychic Night with Emma Kinsey. It was a HUGE success and was managed to raise Β£1127.36 for all our groups to purchase toys and resources πŸ˜„

April - We were on the look out for a new Area Manager for Preston to run our Preston Middle Group. After interviews the job was offered to Carla and she joined our team shortly after. She has been a great asset to our team and we can't wait to see her grow in 2026 🀩

Stay tuned for our highlights from May to August, coming tomorrow!

Celebrating Our Cherished Memories with Jo and Malin🌟

πŸ’™ Jo's Favourite Memory πŸ’™

Jo's favourite memory of 2025 was attending the Fylde Coast Community Awards in November. We were nominated for the Children's Services Award 2025, and we didn't expect much from it; we simply went to enjoy a wonderful evening and celebrate all that we had accomplished that year. To our astonishment, we won the award, and it felt unbelievable! πŸ†πŸ€©

πŸ’š Malin's Favourite Memory πŸ’š

Malin's fondest memory revolves around the joyous moments and laughter we've experienced together at the Office HQ. Every week, we hold our briefings to discuss upcoming events and share our thoughts on how the Play Inclusion Project can enhance its services. She takes great pride in the charity's growth during her time here and treasures the wonderful core staff who join us. The fun we have in the office is truly special, from playful pranks and wellbeing walks to Connie our Toy Baby that we hide in unusual places to scare other people 🀣

Celebrating Our Cherished Memories with Sharon and Lyndsey🌟

πŸ’™ Sharon's Favourite Memory πŸ’™

Sharon's favourite memory of the year occurred during the summer holidays when she visited the Wyre Older Group. The visit was to bid farewell to one of our young members who was leaving after summer. To make it even more special, Gaynor had arranged for Cinderella to surprise the group. The children cherished this magical moment as they sang songs, listened to stories, and played games with Cinderella. It was a truly unforgettable experience πŸ₯°

πŸ’š Lyndsey's Favourite Memory πŸ’š

Lyndsey's favourite memory of the year was when she finally had enough children to launch her own weekly group in Fleetwood. She was able to purchase some incredible new resources and even secured a shed at the church to store even more exciting toys and materials. The children have truly enjoyed the sessions, and Lyndsey is eagerly looking forward to watching the group grow even more in 2026 🀩

Our Story

We offer leisure and recreational activities for children and young people with additional needs and disabilities. Our weekly activities are for 6-18 year olds and include youth clubs, ten pin bowling and a session at The Space Centre in Preston. We are excited to announce that in November we will be launching a swimming club at Fleetwood YMCA. We also deliver a Life Skills Project for 18-25 year olds and Activity Clubs during school holiday periods. We recruit volunteers from local colleges, universities and the wider community to provide support to the children and young people who attend our activities.

We are a registered charitable organisation based in Fleetwood and are funded by Local Authorities, local businesses, personal donations and in-house fund raising. We help children and young people with additional needs and disabilities to enjoy a fuller and more meaningful life and provide much needed respite for parents and carers. We operate in and around Blackpool, Preston, Fylde and Wyre.
